Fallen in LOVE!
We purchased a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, in the end of April. Because of medical situations, I needed a bigger vehicle with bigger doors., And more adjustable seats, than our 2016 Cherokee Trailhawk had. Shopped on line, and our salesman and the dealership manager brought our choice to the house for a test drive. We fell in love with the GC Limited, as soon as we got in those big comfortable seats. The engine is smooth as silk, the transmission works flawlessly. At our age, We have had been sort of slow getting to use all the features. At this point, we've learned to use everything, including the voice command. However, won't be bothered with phone calls and such when driving. The satellite radio is in use all the time, and we control it with a simple "Hey Jeep" and "he" (wife wanted a male voice in system) changes our stations, HVAC temperatures, and fan speeds, etc. The driver #1 (my wife) and driver #2 (me) settings are great. That feature even remembers which satellite stations each one of us uses. And, we just learned that if my wife is driving, I can not give "Jeep" commands while she is in the driver's seat. The power from that 3.6 litre V6 is more than ample for our use. We live in a rural area near State College PA, and Penn State University. Go to town for groceries and doctors, etc. The computer is showing that "Jeep" is consistently averaging between 24.7 & 25.3 mpg. And neither my wife or I spare the horsepower. We consistently find ourselves 5-10 mph over the speed limit. On the interstate it will show that we are getting 29 - 30 mpg at a steady interstate speed of 70 - 75 mph. The build quality is perfect. Doors close with a solid "thud", no squeakes, or rattles. Feels solid as a "tank". The handling on country roads is amazing for a vehicle this size. We considered a Ford Explorer, Hyundai Palisade, and KIA Telluride. But we didn't want or need three rows of seats. This two row Grand Cherokee Limited was/is perfect for our needs. This is our 6 th Jeep, over the years. 2 Wranglers, a Liberty, an earlier Grand Cherokee, and a Cherokee Trailhawk. All have been perfect with no problems. We've always had great luck and great service from our Jeeps.

What will need to be replaced next?
Overall, solid Jeep reliability on the engine & drivetrain in the first 16mos and surprisingly good gas mileage. But in the same period the dealer replaced both batteries, both rear struts, both front sway bars, repaired the radiator air deflector and recently one of the backseat headrests. Lots of SW stability issues. Really disappointing considering the expected quality of historical Jeep products.

Call it u disconnect nit uconnect
I've had the 2023 grand cherokee limited for 5 months and the phone painting wit uconnect still doesn't work. All of the safety features like blind spot monitoring, lane monitoring, and adaptive cruise control work intermittently. The power steering is now flashing needs service. Dealer has been totally ineffective at trying to repair these issues. Mechanically vehicle runs fine and the ride is very good.

Over the Moon with Our New Jeep
After one week of owning this Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 4WD SUV, we are very pleased with its handling, ease of use with touch screen and comfort. The tight turning radius makes U-turns a breeze despite the vehicle's being somewhat larger than a former Jeep we had. The seats are fully adjustable and even provide a back massage with various massaging patterns. The ride is quiet and allows our hearing radio and phone sounds well. Safety features including the drive assist work well. We think this vehicle is well worth the money we spent on it.

Noisy transmission, noisy cabin
This is my second JGCLtd. I had a 2018 which was fabulous and assumed the 2024 would be the same. WRONG! The cabin noise is on the highway is brutal as if insulation or sound proofing was eliminated. Also, the transmission has a funny sound when in D at a stop light. If placed in N, that clicking sound disappears but if placed back in D it starts again and at times can be quite loud.......Definitely a cheapened version with no lock on gas lid, dash controls are confusing whether they should be in on or off position, and the rid is not as comfortable as the 2018. If these issues cannot be addressed the vehicle will be traded in sooner rather than later.
To many issues compromises
OK, 500 miles and the doors sound cheap...pull the handle and close. Thinner metal and less sound deadening??? Hear the tire noise too much, like doors open. Creaks from passenger side window/door. Unrefined suspension (20 inch), crashing over manhole covers. Lane assist acts up, sometimes jerking wheel. Feels like frame sturdy though. Transmission lurches on downshift to 1st gear. Acura hear I come.

One year in, happy camper
Exactly one year in with my JGC (8500 miles) and am one satisfied buyer. No issues, no trips to the dealership outside of oil changes. This is my second straight JGC. This newer model made all the improvements I wanted from the previous gen (bigger cargo area and backseat, larger touch screen, some add’l creature comforts) while maintaining what I loved about the old one (great seats, cool exterior design, reliable). Only things I don’t love are the running board and the passenger infotainment screen. The running boards are too small to be useful, but their presence requires a long step to get in. And in winter or rain, you’re guaranteed to get crap on the back calf of your pants. The passenger screen is COMPLETELY useless unless you have the rear seat entertainment package. My assumption was that passengers could plug in and use the screen on the dash as an extension of their phone. Nope. Not at all. Don’t waste your money. Outside of those nitpicks things, I’ve been very happy!

Start stop not working
Jeep has been brough to the dealership 5 times for issue with start stop feature. Replaced aux battery twice, main battery once. Charged both batteries 4 to 5 hours each time. Still does not work. Now the hands free liftgate does not work. When it was 4 months old the backup camera went out as well. Changed Aux battery at that time.

Completely satisfied so far
Traded in my Mercedes GLE 580 for the Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve and, while the Mercedes was a little more comfy and powerful (the GC is a six), the Jeep blows it away in every other category. Interior design of the 580 was excellent, but the GC is unbelievable for a traditionally non-luxury car. I you wanted a Bentayga but more compact and versatile the GC would come close. All attention to detail makes you wonder how this car was built in Detroit. The beautiful leather, interior lighting, info displays and controls, sound system, exterior fit and finish, and head and fog light systems are top notch. Also it takes reg gas, so I get about a 30% reduction, including better mileage, in my fuel cost. Engine is peppy, but I admit it would be nice to have a V8 for highway passing. Wireless Android Auto is seamless and a pleasure on top of the car's own complete infotainment system. Complete app, assistance, and emergency free, as is reg maintenance for 3 years. Dealer gave me the fastest purchase transaction ever, at about an hour, half the time it took to turn in the Mercedes lease. All I would ask for is a service loaner but the dealer said no.

Lemon Aid needed
I bought a 2023 Jeep GC Outlander with 250 miles. 7 days later it is in service because the car vibrates badly. drives really loudly (more than any other SUV I’ve even been in) has a front end clicking noise and feels like wind buffeting pressure in the cabin even when all the windows and sunroof are closed. I had a 2017 GC Outlander that never gave me any trouble. At 97,000 miles, it blew a solenoid and the part was back ordered for over a month with no guarantees of actual delivery. So, I traded in my 2017 expecting that I’d be as happy with the 2023 model. No such luck. Service rotated the tires and checked front end alignment in an attempt to fix the vibrating. They said the noisy ride is typical and they deny there is pressure similar to wind buffeting. Not a successful fix on the vibrating so I am waiting to see what the dealership proposes. One more try at fixing the issues then I have to look into lemon laws. Overall the car is disappointing even if there were no issues with performance. The interior looks good but the center console is way too wide. There is no charger in the storage compartment so without the cordless charging option, you have to deal with a phone charging cord that sticks out and prevents closure of the compartment below the touchscreen. The trim is very cheap plastic covered in chrome paint that I suspect will scratch. Everything else on the console is black plastic that shows every single fingerprint. The doors feel super light weight which might be one of the reasons why the ride is really loud. The Mazda loaner I got from the dealership is way more quiet for a much lower MSRP. All the seats are narrower than my 2017 and way less comfortable. They look and feel cheaply made and the driver seat already has a crease in it that the service manager admitted “needs to be watched” but is not a warranty repair. Even the covering in the cargo area seems cheap and raises questions about durability. I am very disappointed and have little confidence in the quality and dependability of this car. Buyer beware. It seems there are serious issues with manufacturing and quality control.
