2004 Honda Accord EX V-6 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl 5A)
My EXV6 cp is plagued with squeaks,
creaks, rattles, and buzzing. The
dealer had trouble fixing them. The
interior looks and feels solid, but the
seats are shaped poorly. The
transmission shifts hard and isn't
On the plus side, the 3.0 engine gives
you great high-end response if you have
it in the right gear. I'm getting 24-
25mpg on 87 in mixed driving. Handling
is decent and inspires confidence.
Brakes are catchy, but hard braking
elicits the EBD, and ABS is too easy to
kick in. Don't know about snow yet.
Serious buyers: buy the 6sp, and don't
accept delivery until you are satisfied
that your car is rattle-free and
smooth 3.0L engine/ high end response, well thought out interior (except seats), good balance between ride and handling
improve build quality (especially squeaks & rattles); smoother and more responsive 5A transmission; reshape seats; kill integrated climate/audio system and auto-up (yeah!) windows; "D4" cog; did I mention build quality?
2004 Honda Accord EX 2dr Coupe w/Curtain Airbags (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Leased this car last week and am very
happy with my selection. Previous car
was a '03 Corolla CE 5-speed manual.
Outstanding quality of materials and
construct/assembly. Great compromise
of ride & handling. Very quiet at all
speeds. Good fuel economy for a
midsized... average 30mpg in 70/30
hwy/city respecitvely. Great stereo,
no need to consider an upgrade. Love
the styling. Engine/tranny are top
notch. Limited headroom.
Comfort, ride quality, quiet, stereo, smooth engine, 5 speed automatic.
1/2" more headroom. Smoother shifts on the transmission. Paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Lighted steering wheel buttons. "Sport" mode for trnsmission that holds a lower gear for better throttle response exiting corners.
2004 Honda Accord EX 2dr Coupe (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
If you are looking for a great coupe at
a great price and for reliability, look
no further. The Honda Accord Coupe is
one hell of a car. Even with the 4cyl
it still performs well. I have had mine
for 6 weeks now and i wish maybe the
time could go by slower, i look forward
to getting up everyday and driving to
school and work.
Stereo, Comfort, Handling
None that I can think of, maybe standard leather seats, other then that i cannot think of any
2004 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5A)
Smoothe riding, smoothest shifting I've
ever experienced. This car handles like
a dream, and rides like one too. Peppy
for a 4 cylinder. We still have one
that the kids drive that has 230,000
miles on it, and no major repairs yet.
moon roof, transmission, and like the feature with remote that lets the windows down, to release the inside heat, when unlocked with it.
2004 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
Honda makes the best shifting manual
transmission in this category. Love
the car, get 27-29mpg in mixed
driving. 32-34mpg at high-speed
interstated driving. Handling is
decent w/ EX model. However, this is
a torque engine, not much top-end kick
to it, just a steady pull all the way
to redline. No problems at all except
sunglass holder pops open on its own -
should be a warranty fix when I get
around to it. No reservations about
this purchase after 6,000 miles.
Styling, sunroof, supportive seats, cd changer, lots of trunk space. Lots of interior storage. Cupholders in doors are a nice touch.
Heated rearview mirrors would be nice. Would like a higher trim strip on side to prevent door dings.
