Heavy Duty Diesel
I've had a little trouble with the capacitor on the diesel. However, Ford has a 3rd generation capacitor that is now reliable. I added a leaf all around to raise the truck, rather than using a lift kit.Happy with the results. This truck is extremely reliable and will do anything and get me anywhere. Put 265 tires on it right away. Plastic trim on the inside of the XLT is fragile Rear seat is ok, although we've had teenagers sit in the back across the country twice. If you get a diesel, get the manual transmission. You get the great advantage of using engine compression off-road and in poor road conditions.
Good 97 F250
Bought at 62k, now at 97k. Strongest pickup I have ever owned. Trailer pulling dream. Only has the 4.6 and still pulls like a mule. 100% dependable. Moving into a Super Duty, but sure going to miss this truck.

ford f-250 power stroke diesel
I've had only one problem with this truck, the computer went out about 2 mo. after I had bought it. it was replaced under warrenty.
Love Big Betty!
I have owned this truck for 26 years and every time I drive her, I fall in love even more. From the fin windows( why did those ever go away?) to the throaty roar of the 7.3 diesel there is nothing I don’t love. It’s comfortable to drive, powerful enough to pull a 4 horse head to head trailer, has the extended cab w/ an 8’ bed and people are always asking me if I want to sell her. The answer is always no!
