Have had my f-150 6+ years, it starts, runs and drives as it should, now have 121k miles. Small amount of rust above rear fenders, riding position is ok for trips , wish I had more legroom. Very dependable. 14-15 mpg. Its no speed demon but gets you where you want to go. Hauls a load of fire wood well. Bottom line I would buy another. Good brakes, steering, still has the wings on windows, a- c works well, easy to tune up and change oil..... Just had tires rotated, will see if it makes ride even smoother .... update have now had truck for 7 years, just repainted front bumper. Truck still running good. Just sold truck 4 days ago, still a good truck I just wanted a automatic, picked up a 97 f150 in its place( now the wife can drive it )... Sold truck. Neighbor bought it. Still runs good. Got a 97 f150 with auto, V-8 and 4WD.The 95 f 150 was a much more simple truck, would rather have it back.

My poor poor bed :(

The XLT is definitely worth the extra few bucks but I am thoroughly disappointed with the longevity of the bed and front quarter panel in regards to the rust factor. Fords knows for rusting out, the bed body in particular is not the best of design. outside of that, the auto lock in hubs are amazing, the loaded cab is excellent, and the engine and drive train reliability all get high ratings in my book. 5 speed auto transmission would be nice however. For those of you who seem to be confused as to what 1/2 ton means, it is not the towing capacity but the weight of the trucks frame directly relating the strength of the frame to how bad you can beat on it by its weight and thickness of metal.

Not the best truck I have ever owned, but it is not the worst. It does guzzle gas, but it runs like a top.
