Love It
We replaced a troublesome Focus Wagon and love this 2006 Escape. Had 7 miles on it and we took off for Washington State, averaged 29.9MPG at 70 MPH. Rides firm and quiet and handles like a European sedan. We also got $6,000 knocked off the sticker price.
New Ford Purchaser
Well I'm not a Ford person really as I swore I'd never own one but my wife and I have noticed that we have been taken by the style and appearance of certain model years of the Escape. We have only had our Escape for a few weeks now and despite the negative reviews as seen here regarding the less than anticipated fuel mileage so far our initial trials have been at least 500kms to the the full tank or better with city and highway driving. We'll see in the months to come how the fuel mileage will end up being.
Great Roomy Small SUV
Excellent gas mileage, enough room for hockey equipment, and perfect for traveling.
awd Escape
Love this vehicle, it handles excellent in eight inches of snow. Provides plenty get up and go and with 15,000 miles it has had no mechanical problems.
never again
had one... had a wreck the air bags did NOT work . tires have to be replaced too often. it flipped so easy. when we wrecked it took only 3 people to flip it back over and one was a woman one was a teenage boy. this is not a safe vehicle at all
