I have a 2005 Navigator. Both rear mounts, passenger side first and then driver broke with in 5 days of each other. The mounts broke due to corrosion which is caused by dissimilar metals being bolted together. The deal had 5 running boards in a storage room all with the same problem. So far my bill is $3000. This was reduced because the driver side broke while at the dealership to ... Read More
I have a 2005 Lincoln Navigator. This past weekend I was driving and turned the AC on and the positioning that I had of the air was directed toward the body. Every five minutes the air flow would adjust between the body and the defroster. During this process the AC never lost its cold temperature. I orginally thought that the panel that directed and changed the air flow was not working ... Read More
Have you been able to solve your problem? I have a 2005 Navi with a similar problem. When it is 40 degrees outside the front air bags will not lift. After about 30 minutes of driving and the car is warm then they will lift up. I have no problems when the temperature is warmer than 40 degrees? Thoughts?
Hi, Do you know if the Lincoln Navigator 2005 and 2006 owners manuals are the same? I have a 2006 without the owners manual and I saw an owners manual for the Navigator model 2005 on sale.

Our Navigator will begin unlocking itself repeatedly and will not stop for long durations of time. (20 + minutes). This is happening frequently enough it has now broke one of our door locks. I have a 2005 Lincoln Navigator and as soon as you start driving the Navigation System kicks into safe mode so you cannot type the address in until you stop again and it drives me nuts. Does anyone know how to modify this so that you can always use it even if you are driving?
I have a 2005 Lincoln Navigator and intially when going into reverse, the side miroors would go down along with the warning system beeping. Now, the warning system still beeps, but the mirrors no longer go down prior to reversing. The dealership tells me the SUV never had this feature. Do any of you have a 2005 Navigator and your mirrors have this option???
Can someone tell me where the daylight sensor that controls the dusk-to-dawn lights is located on a 2005 Lincoln Navigator? Thanks! Steve
There is a new Apprentice Like Show call "The Cut" with Tommy Hillfiger. Next week, the 2 Teams are going to "Pimp-out" 2 2005 Lincoln Navigators. This will be on June 16th at 7 PM Central on CBS.
Music and movies sound so great in this vehicle! I wish we had a home theatre system that sounded as good. Is it possible to listen to mp3 using the 2005 navigator's phenomenal sound system? I recall that somebody said it could be done from the second row. Also, I am still frustrated with the fact that Lincoln doesn't make an exactly matching protective floor mat for the camel color interior. ... Read More
After 5 years of owning a Lincoln Navigator (3 years with a 2000, 2 years with an '03), I've decided to take a break from Lincoln... for now. I have switched back to a car and have leased a 2005 Lexus LS430. I will miss the room of the navi -- that's for sure. I could fit half of my extended family in that bus for trips. The newer generation navigators ... Read More

ANT14 - this quote was from a Ford Media article on Feb. 4 about the Batavia Ohio plant. Was this the "confirmation" you were looking for? The ZF-designed 6-speed made its North American debut two years ago in the Jaguar S-Type. This same 6-speed design goes into the 2005 Lincoln Navigator this fall, the first vehicle in its class to have a 6-speed automatic.
