Had a 2023 n line Hyundai Sonata delivered January 25, 2023. Now has 2200 miles on it. Also dropped off at dealership last night for the 3rd time to get fixed for the same problem. Transmission light on and not changing gears. Car has been in shop with the long repair wait times longer then in my garage since buying.

I bought the Hyundai Sonata n-line. I am so satisfied with the performance and handling of this car. Only issue I have is the back of the seat is a little more narrow than I would like it to be for me. I’m about 5’11 and weigh 205 so I wouldn’t say I’m fat but a little bigger boned and I feel it’s a tighter fit than I would like. Easy fix is for me to lose some weight lmao. Okay, the car has a lot of power and if you are driving with the all season tired you could easily burn rubber, even when you are driving conservatively. It’s also very low to the ground and if you are okay with that then all is good. I absolutely love the car and all the options. The stereo is really good once you fine tune it. The bass is good and it’s loud. More than enough for the average driver. The light are absolutely amazing while nite driving. Very bright and make you feel confident driving at night. All the safety features are amazing from lane assist to blind spot monitoring is great. It’s just a phenomenal car and when you are in it, it feels solid and eager to move. When I say it’s fast it’s FAST.

Buyer Beware

I leased a 2023 Hyundai Sonata in December 2022 and have had major problems with the engine. The first engine failure occurred at 1,600 miles and was towed to a dealership. The car was bucking and lost engine power so I couldn’t drive. They diagnosed a faulty fuel injector. The same thing happened at 8100 miles and this time we were on the highway and almost hit from behind before we could pull off the road. We were towed to a Hyundai dealership where they replaced a second faulty fuel injector. We afraid to take this unsafe car on the road for fear this could happen again. Even driving locally is very troublesome, and we take 500 mile road trips so taking this car on the highway is out of the question because another failure could happen at any time and we could be stuck far away from home. We called Hyundai Consumer Affairs and they told us that since the car was repaired there was nothing more they could do for us. I would not recommend this car to anyone that needs a safe and reliable car.

I bought my 2023 in February of this year and in July it quit on the road. It took weeks to get it back and now I keep getting notifications of the front collision is not turned on. I hope to not have more problems but I think I just might. Also, my driver side seat belt won't lock. I had the same problem with my 2019. When I take it in to the shop they don't see a problem. Thats not a good look for Hyundai.

I bought this 2017 Sonata out of desperation. Drives like a boat, but worse, I discovered that the trunk will latch and stick and there is no other way into the trunk. The back seats fold down FROM THE TRUNK. There is no external button or lever to access the trunk when the latch is broken or is accidentally (easy to do) switched to valet mode. Who designed a trunk that can't be accessed in an emergency.
