We have a limited number of reviews for the 2022 XC90, so we've included reviews for other years of the XC90 since its last redesign.
Good, but not great. Little disappointed.

I just test drove the XC90 Recharge. Pros: Comfortable, quiet, peppy, mileage, good headroom. Bad: Cell phone wireless charger did not work with my reasonably sized Speck case for my iPhone 12 Pro. [Note: I tested same feature out on Audi's Q8 - no issues.] I didn't like the location of the rearview mirror - mounted forward of the electronic box. There's a large hump in the middle seat of the 2nd row making it useless for anyone to sit there other than a very small child. The large center screen was glitchy - home-looking button didn not work on several screens that it should have according to the sales rep. All in all, I didn't fall in love with it. Will keep looking and maybe the 2022 model addresses these things.

Less than a year and I’m looking for a new car

Looks better than it is. The NAV is nearly worthless. I plug in my phone and use Google maps. I have to plug it in on long trips anyway because the charging pad doesn’t charge iPhone 12s (look it up). Cruise control varies - set it at 70, expect 67 to 72. I cannot get the HUD to show on the windshield…except for cruise setting and speed limit. No map or traffic data. Hint: my third car with (alleged) HUD. The 2” receiver is clever, but too short for my bike rack. I had to get a metal saw. I could go on. As I said, I’m looking on. And won’t be a Volvo. By the way, my light came on for the one year service reminder. I called the dealer…8 weeks.

Multiple AC Problems; Poor Dealer Service

Our 2018 Inscription is back in the shop for its 3rd Air Conditioner repair. This one is not even covered by warranty because the warranty lapsed last month while it was in the shop for the 2nd AC repair, and the dealership won't stand behind its work. On Saturday, the key fobs stopped working. Our local Volvo dealer, Bergeron Volvo, has a terrible Service Dept., and is backed up for weeks. They never have loaners available. We've owned Mercedes, Acura, Porsche, Tesla and Infiniti, and Volvo is the worst.

I have owned a 2022 Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription for over one year. Not a single problem, extremely reliable. No warranty problems, Great highway cruiser, easy 27 mpg. Very solid and everything works great. Need some time to understand the all the controls, but once everything is set, not much else to do. All the passive safty features are great and wok very well, especially the auto-cruise control features. Quiet, comfortable and a joy to drive!

Shopped for large suv to replace 7 year old Expedition and this won the tests. Can carry quite a bit in back and will cart 7 people with all the seats deployed. Plenty of power for a big suv. We enjoy the convenience of computers but there was a learning curve for using normal controls. Voice control works well but better for my wife than for me.
