Front bumper came off driving down Interstate

2022 Toyota Highlander XLE 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 8A)
Friday, August 4, 2023, driving down the Interstate, I heard a loud noise followed by dragging/wobbling. I pulled over expecting a flat tire, to instead find the front bumper of my car had been sucked underneath my car. The bottom of the bumper was still attached, but the entire top had folded down and was being dragged. Being unable to remove it on the side of the road, I bungee-corded … it on and drove the 10 miles home. Took it to Toyota Monday morning and they blamed it on a design flaw, but that Toyota would not cover the replacement. Car is less than a year old; never involved in an accident; never driven off road. If the bumper is that faulty and Toyota won't stand behind something like that, I don't need to be driving it.
Car will be traded in promptly and I will not purchase another Toyota again. Silly to lose a customer over a bumper, but when Customer service doesn't exist, there's no reason to stay.
