Awesome Car and Fun to Drive
This is the best car I have ever owned. In almost two years of ownership have put 46k miles on the car with no issues. Unfortunately, last month my husband was in a car accident that totaled our beloved car. This car is so well designed that with the total loss of the vehicle my husband walked away with only a seatbelt rash. The airbags are amazing and did their job perfectly. The police were surprised he was not hurt. If you are looking for a safe, reliable, fun, high MPG car then this is the one for you. We miss our car are waiting to the 2010 Prius to replace the 2007.
I am loving my Prius
The car rides well. Due to gas prices rising, I knew that I needed to try and get the best for the buck. I have an SUV and a sedan and another small car. My husband and I drive the small car and the Prius. It has plenty of room - I'm 6'1 and comfortable in it. I got the base model. I have had it a week and it appears we made the right choice. We are happy with the car. It has a few small minor issues which it is a 2007, but overall the car was clean! I am looking forward to saving gas, and being able to use that money on another bill. Awesome!!
Gas Mileage/Reliability
My 2007 Prius Touring model with Navigation is excellent in two areas: gas mileage (EPA 44-48) and reliability. People should not expect it to drive like a sports car, to ride like a luxury car, or to perform like a high clearance 4WD SUV in winter conditions. However for what it was designed to be, it is a very good car. Just don't have unrealistic expectations and you will be very happy with a Prius. I have also owned an Avalon and two Camrys and they were very good cars.
