My first vehicle was a 1986 Toyota 4x4 truck. When I was looking for a new car I only looked at Toyotas since I had never had a bad experience. Bought the car at 220,000 km in August 2004 from original owner, it is now over 300,000 km and still runs beautifully. I've had many offers on it, and a good friend bought the exact same car since he liked mine so much. It starts up on the coldest days (I've left it outside overnight in -45C conditions), however doesn't like icy roads.

My Toyota Is the best little car i ever drove. With gas prices today it cost very little to fill it and a full tank lasts forever. The Paseo is a good little car for someone who is short, They were not made for tall people. espcially the back seat. You can get parts very easalily at any automotive parts seller.

I drive my 92 Paseo 150 miles per day and have been for about 6 months. Sure...its small on the inside, the backseat is really not for anyone taller than 5 feet, but the car is the perfect commuter vehicle for one or two people. Its gas mileage is rivaled by only a few cars - most of which are high tech hybrids. The motor is small, but it doesn't have to haul much car, so its also spunky and fun to drive. If this one dies, I'm going to look for one just like it. all hail Toyota engineering!

I bought my Paseo in August 1992 as my first car and still have it, 129,000+ miles later. I had to replace the water pump in mid 1996, and the air conditioning system began having leaks in 2004. Aside from that, just normal stuff like replacing worn brakes and tires. I get the oil changed about every 4,000 to 6,000 miles. Still has all original engine parts. It's a manual transmission, but the clutch still works great. I paid off the loan for it in April 1996 and hope it lasts at least another 10 years! Has been a great first car; as a used car, would be super for a teenager: reliable, gas efficient, sporty-looking.
