260000 and a blown head gasket
I have a 94 Toyota Camry that I am the 3rd owner of. My mother was the 2nd and bought it used in 1995 with a little over 15,000 miles on it. I think that it is an unbeatable car as far as durability and reliability. The 2.2lt sohc 4 cyl has more than enough power and with the electronically controlled 4 speed auto trans it uses it in all the right rpms depending on how much gas petal is used. I have put this car through its paces for sure with 168,000 miles on it when I got it I definitely put the hardest of the 260,000 miles on it. The only major repair I had to do was replace the cv joints 3 times but that was because of hard driving. I am having the motor rebuilt because of a blown head gasket.
1994 Toyota Camry review
I've owned my Camry for four years and have over 217,000 on the odometer, and I believe it's an excellent choice for someone with a small budget. Interior design is excellent. The seats are well-shaped and comfortable, and the placement of controls is intuitive. At high speed, road noise is nearly non-existent, like a luxury car. Wind noise is moderately high, but no more than could be expected. Engine performance is mediocre. Noise is high at revs over 3000, and acceleration is adequate at best. Fit and finish inside is terrific, with snug and well-fitting parts, and reliability is good. For the money, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better family sedan.

Fabulous car
This car has been a total pleasure as well as a joy to drive. It is peppy and accelerates very well getting onto highways and when we need to move quickly. We have 205,000 miles, and have never had to do anything more than routine maintenance which we do religiously. The leather seats are showing wear after 17 years but other than that, we have no sense we are driving an older car, and we think the design is still handsome.
Beats having a car payment!
Update: Five days later, the thieves stole all the parking marker lights, the taillights, the headlights, the drive shifter and my dashcam, and other parts to make the car not street legal. This is the first and LAST time I buy a Toyota product for that very reason. I buy the car to drive, not to have a roving parts store in front of my job and apartment. The Camry is too high on the most-stolen list and I should have known better, but now my faith in humanity is very low and I will TRUST NO ONE. DO NOT BUY A USED CAMRY, YOU ARE ASKING TO HAVE IT STRIPPED OR STOLEN. ------------------------------------------ What a great car this 1994 Camry is. Once the lease was up on my new car, I decided to make a clean break and start over with a well running, older car without all the bells and whistles, without all the distracting gadgets. I encountered a really nice, white 1994 Toyota Camry with a fair amount of miles on it, but the price was fair for the condition and it drove beautifully. Unlike my other (new) car, visibility improved by 50%. No huge pillars blocking the side view. No sharp angle on the rear window blocking the rear view. Overall, the car is just that--a car--unremarkable, plain, simple and elegant in its uncomplication. It goes from A to B in all kinds of weather, I can see everything, so it feels like a well-insulated go-cart. Rain, cold, snow and ice are no problem, and unlike a new car, I can put snow cables on my Camry and chew up the snow and ice like butter, because the clearance is there between the wheel and the strut. 14" wheels mean I won't have to take out a loan to buy tires. Not much else to say, except that I love it, being just another Joe on the road with another cookie cutter car, humble, no expectations, no need to see if anyone is looking as I drive by, ego free. Perfect. And cheap!

Good car...needs some style
I bought this car last summer and have loved the realiabilityof the car. All that I have had to do is oil changes and tires. I also love it when Im at the gas pump. The one thing I do not like is the exterior styling. It looks like every other sedan and the light bar across the back is awful. Other than that it is a great car
