2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
I got the car before the 2020 shows up at the dealers, and got a good lease deal. The features included at the price range is excellent. The ride is quiet, and smooth. Even though sporty sedan, suspensions are soft enough for a comfortable ride. Seats are great, safety features with LKA and adaptive cruise control are great. I am glad this is a stop and go cruise control, works perfectly … in traffic. I love the turbo engine in the sport mode, reminds me of my past volvo s60. Even with the child seat, a lot of space in the back seat. The downside is the quality of materials when compared to accord and mazda 6, but if you get a good deal you will quickly forget about that. Also Hyundai skipped the rain sensing wipers even at the top level.

all i can say after owning a 2014 elantra sport,a 2016 veloster turbo, and a 2018 elantra sport turbo,is WOW..the red pearl is gorgeous.the safety features are fantastic.the smell of the leather inside, and the way everything works with precision is nothing short of amazing.
2 years later--the pano roof can rattle & squeak, brakes squeaking, side of drivers' seat is showing wrinkled on the … left side ,infinity system is fair, not what i expected.
A couple of woes.

2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
Overall has been a great car except the overhead console buzzes and vibrates while driving over irregular surfaces. The parking brake often locks up after the car and wheels are washed. Usually happens when car is parked overnight in garage after being washed. Plenty of accelerator pedal pressure needed in reverse for release the following morning. I replaced the stock air filter with a … K&N to give the turbo a bit more air. With 15,000 on the clock, mpg is 29.4 city and highway.

2019 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
Overall very pleased with the vehicle. Economical to drive & maintain. Mild mannered but spirited when pushed, especially in Sport mode. Interior well laid out with controls ergonomically positioned.
The major complaint is the EXTREMELY sharp headlight cut-off when driving on roads with dips & hills. High beams are better, but still not as good as other vehicles. Recommend test driving … at night to determine if this is an issue for you.

Which Sonata does Edmunds recommend?
There's no bad pick here, but consider getting the Sonata Eco with its turbocharged 1.6-liter engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This combo is more engaging and fuel-efficient than the standard 2.4-liter engine. You don't really get any options to choose from with the Eco, but it comes equipped just like the SE model, which is to say very well indeed.

Driving
8.0Power in the top-of-the-line 2.0-liter turbo engine is plentiful for a midsize family sedan. The driving dynamics are spirited but not sporty. On the whole, it drives in a manner that the typical buyer will find satisfactory, but it doesn't change the game in any way.
Comfort
8.0The newly updated suspension is a big improvement over past Sonatas. There's the right dose of compliance to smooth out road imperfections, yet body roll isn't excessive — it's a good balance of compliance and control. The front seats deliver long-haul comfort and very effective ventilation.
Interior
8.0The cabin does the basics well, from accommodating various driver shapes to facilitating easy entry and exit. The placement of displays and controls is intuitive and easy to use. Even though this cabin isn't all-new, it still asks for fewer sacrifices than some newer sedans.
Utility
7.5There's little to complain about when it comes to the Sonata's everyday usability, which is aided by solid cargo capacity and no shortage of in-cabin storage options. It's as good as or better than what you'd get with the typical car in this class.
Technology
7.5While its infotainment isn't cutting-edge, the execution is sound and well-thought-out. The premium audio system might leave audiophiles wanting. It's decent but not exceptional. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features, a nice attribute that's not universal in the segment.
