Front end suspension noise!
vabeach1, Las Vegas, NV, 01/09/2015
2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L 4dr Minivan w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
We bought this van brand new in September 2014 and just traded it in with only 2300 miles on it this month. The Odyssey has a horrible creaking front suspension noise that the dealership won't fix. The van is nice and new, but sounds like an old car that needs new shocks. After allowing the dealership to attempt to fix the problem four times and the van being in for service for over 39 … days, we were told by Honda that they are aware of the problem and that they do not have a fix for it right now, so Honda is calling it normal noise. Long story short...there is no fix for it and Honda refused to do the Lemon Law. So, we just decided to trade it in on a better vehicle.
little old lady has warped rotors

2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L 4dr Minivan w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Before reaching 20,000 miles started experiencing steering wheel shimmy when applying the brakes. Turns out I have warped rotors. Never had this problem with any other new vehicle. I understand the warranty is only good for 12,000 miles. Could this possibly be a recall problem.
Also updated the navigation map based on recommendation. You can do this yourself my inserting CD and … following instructions. Did so, but now every time I start the engine, I get a message stating map is not valid.
Update - Honda indicates there is no problem with rotors. Goodle search indicates differently. I had rotors changed and problem went away.
pure lemon

2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L 4dr Minivan w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
pure lemon, brake rotors warped at 17,000 miles, corporate did not authorized replacements, authorized repairs, after 2,000 miles, same problems, still severe vibrations on braking, safety issue, should have recalls, now car has 37,000 miles, paint peeling off on roof, lots of van customer has problems, still no recall. This will be my last Honda, no more of Honda brand, they wasted … their good name by not taking care of their products problems!
How do you get excited about an appliance?

2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L 4dr Minivan w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
This is the first and probably the last minivan. Based on recommendations we purchased this van with the only requirement being a powered tailgate. Most friends commented that we were moving backwards going from SUVs to a minivan. Personally didn't matter to me since I don't drive it.
After 8 years of ownership the van had several issues. The electric fan failed needed replacing at 65K. … The intake hose from the throttle body to the MAF cracked and replaced. Replaced plugs at 50K, Trans fluid at 50K and coolant. On third set of Michelins at 75K. All in all a good experience. The van will easily go to 10 years as the salesman stated. Next up timing belt and water pump.
Update: Van is approaching 2 years of age. No problems, Couple of scrapes from reversing. Apparently the reverse camera isn't enough for my wife to avoid walls, cars, and whatever else she backs into. Van is reliable, predictable, and downright boring. Dogs seem to like it.
Update: Approaching 4 years of ownership. Other than oil changes and recalls for seat latches van has been uneventful. New Michelins on the corners improved ride and handling.
