Owners Say
The overall sentiment for the 2025 Genesis GV60 is mixed. Owners praise its high-tech features, smooth and quiet ride, and unique look, with many loving its performance and comfort. However, some are unhappy about the lack of wireless features like Apple and Android connections, and others have faced issues with unreliable tech, poor dealer service, and safety concerns. Limited range for a high price and distribution challenges also disappointed a few owners.

An Almost Perfect Daily Driver

2024 Genesis GV60 Standard 4dr SUV (electric DD)
I chose the RWD Standard because of its extended range, 303 miles in ECO mode, the RWD conventional driving dynamics, and the lower price. The compromise is the lack of a few hi tech driver's assist features, which I seldom use in my case, the fabric trim, etc., non of which would negatively affect how the car drives or its luxurious feel inside and out. The AWD versions, Advanced and … Performance, although faster than the RWD counterpart on a straight line, has some not so welcome issues with driving dynamics - the increase 300+ pound weight (mostly in the front motor), the lack of electronic management between the front and rear motors. It's quite apparent at a turn during acceleration. The AWD is sloppy. I find the RWD being much better in control. Crossover EV's are not sports cars despite their quick acceleration and high torque. If you embrace them for what they really are, luxury daily drivers, you'll be much happier. The GV60 RWD is by far the best value luxury BEV under $50K (after Fed EV credit via leasing).

NOTE: This video is about the 2023 Genesis GV60, but since the 2025 Genesis GV60 is part of the same generation, our earlier analysis still applies.
The Tesla Model Y has long been the only compact luxury SUV you could buy, and while it's got the typical Tesla cool factor, it's never really provided a truly luxurious experience. In comes the Genesis GV60, the brand's first bespoke electric vehicle. The GV60 aims to do what the Model Y does, but better — meaning high performance, excellent build quality and a properly… luxurious interior. So, does the Genesis have Tesla beat? Or is the Model Y still king of this segment? Join Edmunds' Lauren McCay in the video above to find out!
