For 2023, Ford introduces a new optional in-mirror camera system that allows drivers to see behind them even if their cargo van has no rear windows. The base 3.5-liter V6 also gets an engine stop-start system as standard. Other than that, the Transit soldiers on with some minor reshuffling of packages and options.
Because the Transit has so many customization options, it can be tailored for whatever your business needs. For a van, the Transit's interior is surprisingly pleasant. The dashboard is familiar and car-like, and the standard infotainment system is easy to use. When you upgrade to the optional Sync 4 system, the cabin is transformed by a tablet-sized screen front and center in the dash. The massive touchscreen not only looks impressive but is also responsive and adds cutting-edge tech features like wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
The Ford Transit Cargo competes with other full-size vans such as the Chevrolet Express, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Nissan NV and Ram ProMaster. Some rivals offer more towing capacity, but few can match it on the tech front. If your business needs a large cargo van, the Transit should be near the top of your list.

Transmission issues since purchased.
Steering failure after 600 miles. Took 6 weeks in the shop to fix.
Intermittent radio issues like defaulting to FM after leaving off for more than 10 min and listening to AM before..
Doors need to be slammed to lock/latch in the back.
Sliding door needed rubber filler for the door stop open position.
Just really bad initial quality.

2021 Ford Transit Cargo Van 250 Medium Roof 3dr Van AWD w/130" WB (3.5L 6cyl 10A)
Ok, I needed a new work truck for me for my painting and remodeling business, I have always owned ford cargo vans before, the higher roof had my interest as for me getting older and it’s just easier to get materials in and out while still able to stand. The gas mileage is disappointing I get 9 mpg (no eco boost motor) I had shelving installed on day one, within two months the mounting … brackets tore out of the walls, the metal this truck is made out of is very thin and if you even push the cargo door shut on the sheetmetal , as a friend of mine did on mine, you will have a dent/crease in panel. FSt forward 6 years and 49k miles, now I get a dash notification stating, hill start assist not available, along with my ABS system not working and all warning lights on now.
Took into see what code comes up and to my surprise, no codes were found. I’m just starting to look into this issue as I write this so I don’t know what this hill start assist light will need to repair issue.
Just my experience with mine.
Was hoping for better gas mileage and disappointed by thin sheet metal used.
But other then that, I like it.
I live in it!

2020 Ford Transit Cargo Van 250 High Roof 3dr Ext Van w/148" WB (3.5L 6cyl 10A)
The only 3 things that are a con: 1) no swivel front seats, 2) there is some type of "thing" or pump or motor that grumbles intermittently - I know its "normal" because every owner remarks about it yet nobody can give an answer as to what it is. It may grumble once or twice, sometimes 20 times before being quiet for the night. 3) When you take off and put it in drive (so you think) it … passes "D" and goes into a manual gear which makes you hesitate or bog down until you click it back a notch to Drive. Other that that- zero glitches at 50k miles

2022 Ford Transit Cargo Van 250 Low Roof 3dr Van w/148" WB (3.5L 6cyl 10A)
There's nowhere comfortable to put your left foot due to the wheel well being practically right beside the brake pedal. This van is incredibly uncomfortable. The sliding side door had to be repaired twice, now it only comes right out of the track sometimes. The transmission decides to change to too high a gear whilst driving at highway speed thus causing a bog down while you see the … vehicles behind you come up on you dangerously close while you stand on the accelerator to get the van moving again. The 2019 version had adequate cup holder sizes, the 2022 does not!
