Used 2009 Ford Taurus Consumer Reviews
IF USED DO NOT BUY
I purchase my 2008 Ford Taurus Sedan limited 5/28/2011. My car look great but I learn after purchase, within the ninety day of the warranty. That the car in reverse gose forward and both feet has to be on brake/gas to back up. My car was towed because it would not start, then I took it back after they return my car back to me because the dianogstic only concluded a battery was needed; however I return with my car to explain what is acrruing while driving and parking the car.Art test drive the car with me returning back to the dealer, telling me that nothing was wrong with my car. He stated he knew it wasn't the transmission and they were not going to check the transmission at all.
Exceeded My Expectations
I really like this car. Quiet, comfortable, and cruises the highway exceedingly well. (Just 2000 RPM at 78 mph) Road noise is very low. Previously driven Chevy Impalas and this Taurus is clearly well above it in style, fit, and finish. I've been trying to stay with an American brand sedan. This car is definitely worth a look and a test drive. I ordered the SEL with leather option, and upgraded radio package.
Great Vehicle
Ford has hit a homerun with this redesigned and renamed vehicle. Owned a 2005 Expedition prior to the 2008 Taurus and do not have one regret.
Ford Has A Winner
For the price this is a hard car to beat in the sedan category. Nice ride, well laid out interior, I can listen to my ipod, plenty of room and a huge trunk. For the size mpg is not bad either, but if you have a heavy foot the mpg goes down quickly.
Follow-up at 9 months
Now the car has 12K miles. Hasn't seen a shop, still quiet as day one, still a really great car! Now car- pooling with 4 adults: all are comfy and comment on how roomy and the quite ride. Really can't say how impressed I am with Ford for making a great car! This is a company car provided me; if they tried to recall it, I'd fight like mad to buy it!
