Not worth the hassel
The back doors like to freeze closed in winter makingnit hard to get in or out. The rear wheel edging is coming off and to top it off the windshield washer fluid is not working.

Ok-ish vehicle but nothing great
We rented a 2023 Ford Edge in November 2024 while on vacation. For reference my main vehicle is a 2012 Toyota Sequoia - the largest SUV that Toyota makes. We were hopeful on the Ford Edge for our trip hauling two adults and two kids under 4yrs old. It is a compact vehicle with just enough room for everything we were bringing with us. Not too big, not too small. There were many safety features like the lane assist, blind spot monitoring, etc. The rumble feature from these "assist" options was not enough to even notice when it came on (besides being illuminated while testing the features) so I'm not sure how well it would do if the driver was incapacitated in an emergency. The turning radius doing u-turns was beyond terrible. My big boat Sequoia has a better turning radius than this little Ford Edge. Fuel efficiency wasn't that great calculating 18/24mpg between city and highway driving. There was no button inside the vehicle anywhere (nor on our rental remote) to open the hatchback when our hands were full so that was inconvenient on an almost new vehicle. We tried the foot under the bumper sensor which also didn't work. Overall we're glad we had the opportunity to drive this vehicle during our vacation as the size capacity did work for our needs however the lack of mpg and poor turning radius were huge negative scores in our books. Not impressed, would not recommend to anyone looking for a smaller SUV. I had a 2013 Honda CR-V a few years back which got better mpg, had more room inside and better turning radius than this vehicle.
