2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
This car is SUPER reliable. I have had zero issues with this vehicle and expect to drive it for many years to come. The quality on the interior certainly leaves a bit to be desired, but after trading in my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (w 28k miles), I know better than anyone that all the fancy features and cabin comfort in the world do not make up for a mechanically unreliable vehicle. The … Jeep was one problem after another, despite having very low miles.
In comparison, the Rav4 has needed nothing since the day I drove it off the lot. If some cheap details in the cabin are the worst thing about this SUV, then you know it's a good vehicle. Toyota did not cut corners where it truly counts with this vehicle (i.e. under the hood), except I guess people are upset about the v6 option dissolving. However, the 4 cyl is just fine for me. Do NOT buy this car expecting a luxury ride--buy this car because you want a vehicle that will get you where you need to go no matter what, and will last you 10+ years with minimal problems. Who cares if people think it's "boring" to drive? After my Jeep nightmare, I can tell you that it is WAY more boring to sit at a dealership for hours waiting for repairs!!
When you start up the Rav you know you will get to your destination no matter what. At the end of the day, that's all I care about. If you're a buyer with similar priorities, you'll love the 2015 Rav4

2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
THIS IS IN DEPTH. I bought the Xle Awd package of the RAV4 in 2015- base. I knew Toyota’s were bulletproof cars so I bought mine for a hefty 25K. I will assess all of the ratings that I have the car: PERFORMANCE- although this car only has 178 hp with the sports trim and a 4 cylinder the car is no slump when it comes to accelaration. This won’t matter but 0-60 can happen in 7-8 and a … half seconds. For me the replacement of brakes have been normal/average and the braking power is surprisingly strong. However, One downside of the braking and acceleration is is that braking creates a lot of nosedive in the car, which is uncomfortable when coming to lights. Also the car is very sensitive to the gas pedal. Where I live there is lots of snow and twisty open roads. I have found the steering and overall balance of the car to be very good. When going around corners the car handles surprisingly well— it can be a little fun. Also in the snow combined with AWD and winter tires this car is very good. I have towed trucks up snowy roads with no slippage. The computer in the car makes it nearly impossible for the car to slip or slide. Overall this is a safe car to drive in snow and rain with good clearance. COMFORT- the room in the front is a bit cramped for taller people. Seat comfort is adequate, but can get uncomfortable on long road trips. Rear seat room is ok. The back seats are a harsher ride than the front seats. When going over bumps it is not fun! Road noise in the car is pretty bad. When going over bumps you hear the entire car smash, wind noise, the engine. Don’t get me wrong it’s not terrible but you will notice it. The suspension on the car limits body roll, and makes it feel very stable. But there is a compromise for comfort. You feel every imperfection on the road and bumps and potholes legitimately feels like you just broke your car— the suspension is very harsh. Because of this there is also a lot of vibration and noise. The interior is decent, but outdated for the cars price tag and year. Interior space is decent in the car for how small it is. There are enough compartments to store whatever in. You can store a surprising amount of things in the car. I like how there are hard buttons to control things like climate, picking up calls, open sunroof, etc.. the layout of the buttons is not confusing and easy to access. The infotainment is ok, but looks like something from 2010 or 2013. It is pretty laggy. You can connect your phone to play music, answer calls— generally a less smooth version of apple CarPlay with less features. This screen is totally usable but not great for the year. Materials are not bad for a base trim. There are some cheap plastics around most places, but their is some leather trim, the interior has held up fine. The overall design of the interior makes sense and looks fine. SAFETY- can’t say much about features cause didn’t really get those, but as said above the car is very good in harsh weather. The AWD works well.TECHNOLOGY- I got base so not much tech. I will let others speak about the features. The reliability of all the electronics have been fine. Nothing has broke or gotten worse. RELIABILITY- haha lastly what you guys really care about. My car has not been garaged or maintained incredibly well. Oil changes are probably not frequent enough, engine can be started in freezing weather without time to warm up. Over 100,000 miles nothing has broke. Just regular maintenance. OVERALL ANALYSIS: this car would probably not be the best car to buy in without the limited in the city because it is not fun in suburb areas to drive. For me the reliability is what I came to Toyota for. I agree that Toyota quality has been going down the drain. If it weren’t for the conditions that I live in I would have got a Honda. Overall I rate the car 4 stars— not an endless money pit nightmare, has treated me well, sporty handling, cool color, overpriced, not the best quality. This review took me a long time but I hope it helped..

2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
As an add-on to the first opinion I wrote of the 2015 RAV4:
Initially I was slightly disappointed with MPG's and realized the extreme cold temps. in the NE USA were the reason.A recent road trip produced Identical MPG's as a traded-in '13 CRV:
62 MPH= 34 MPG
69 MPH= 30 MPG
74 MPH= 28.5 MPG
79 MPH= 27.6 MPG
W/cruise control over 200+ miles at each speed.MPG was identical to the … CRV.The RAV4 is 150 lbs. heavier too.RAV4 also fits more cargo as the wheel wells inside the back are 44"apart.The rear seats also fold down completely level, unlike CRV.Driving in city, Sport mode is a must to shift smoother. The 6 speed manual/auto is a ++. Michelins grab the road in cornering, big +++.

2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
I have had a Ford Escape, Honda CRV and several Subaru Outbacks. I also looked into the Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Rogue. The Toyota RAV4 won out for many reasons. So far this vehicle exceeds my expectations. I'm getting 28.7 MPG average (yes AWD)! I love the seats, they seem to "grab" my rib cage and I do not sway either way when doing a sharp turn. The ride is solid like a truck. … Visibility is great. There is plenty of room for 3 road bikes in the back without removing the front wheel.
