Owned one and Never again!
Longsofty, Charlotte, NC, 09/03/2018
2018 Porsche Panamera 4S 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 8AM)
Owned the car for about 10 months and the car was in the shop at dealer for total of 7 months in and out. Yes, I literally drove the car myself about 3 months. There is a true quality issue with this car or perhaps its a Porsche thing. Many fan boys over look all the issue they encounter or they ignore them thinking Porsche is Apple. Arrogant Dealership didn't help. Car was a Lemon … and I had to push Porsche to buy back. PCM goes out all the time, car rattled interior and exterior, Chrono clock alwyas stopped working, engine light galore, subwoofer kept going in and out and other issues. Porsche is trying to be too big too fast, until they get their quality under control, they need to go back to basics. I have owned Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, etc. This by far was the most troubled vehicle. I guess this can be considered a VW Passat with a $140k body kit. Porsche customer care is a joke.

2018 Porsche Panamera 4S 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 8AM)
I love this car. Previously had a 2019 Macan 4S (which is an awesome little car) but needed something bigger for all my highway travel. Before that a 2007 MB 550SL (loved it). Bought this one as a lease turn-in with 6400 miles on it. No issues. Ever. Had it for almost 3 years now and nothing but routine service. This is an awesome daily driver with the cajones to impress. More than … I need but whatever? My experience? I would recommend the Panamera 4S to anyone.
Everything I Wanted (and expected) Plus More!

2018 Porsche Panamera 4S 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 8AM)
While I have only had the car a few weeks, it is everything I expected. Luxurious and refined when desired or a "beast" when you want performance. (Just choose regular, sport, sport plus or custom driving mode.) The car grips the road, including corners, like no sedan I have ever driven. The seats are ultra-comfortable, front and rear. My ratings on reliability and value are only four … stars because it is too early to know. Overall I am very pleased with zero regrets. Don't waste another moment spoil yourself today.
2018 Porsche Panamera 4S...There is no substitute!

2018 Porsche Panamera 4S 4dr Sedan AWD (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 8AM)
This car is brilliant! Providing the bridge between a sports car and a sedan with performance, style and a great driving experience. Love all the tech in the car and the sport design package.
Edmunds Summary Review of the 2018 Porsche Panamera 4S Sedan
Pros & Cons
- Pro:Authoritative acceleration from V6, V8 and hybrid models
- Pro:Sports carlike handling around turns
- Pro:Refined interior design with the latest technology
- Con:Standard with only two rear seats (a middle seat is optional)
- Con:Infotainment system trails the competition
Which Panamera does Edmunds recommend?
While the range-topping Turbo S E-Hybrid is appealing, it comes with a mighty price tag and for that reason, we recommend the Panamera Turbo (non-hybrid). The Turbo is available in all three Panamera body styles (we prefer the Sport Turismo) and it comes with Porsche's fire-breathing 550-hp twin-turbo V8.
Standard equipment on the Panamera Turbo includes a wide-view 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an adaptive air suspension, full leather upholstery, 10-way power front seats with memory settings, heated rear seats and a 14-speaker Bose audio system.

Driving
9.0No car this big and heavy has any business performing on this level. It's mind-boggling how capable the Panamera 4S is on a fun, winding road. Anyone who claims it's not a "real" Porsche clearly hasn't driven one. And this is just a single step up from the base model in a very deep lineup.
Comfort
The Panamera's performance means some concessions were made. The climate control is fussier than it needs to be, and ride quality isn't as luxurious as that of some rivals. But none of these issues comes even remotely close to being a deal-breaker.
Interior
8.5The new Panamera's interior is a vast aesthetic improvement, but many of the controls aren't as easy to use and can be a source of driver distraction. Otherwise, the cabin is as luxurious, modern and refined as those of any of its contemporaries.
Utility
Though it's the "hatchback" in the luxury sedan class, the Panamera doesn't reap the rewards usually associated with that body style. There is plenty of space for luggage and cargo but not as much as the specifications suggest. Again, these are fairly small concessions for a sporty car.
Technology
Operation of the Panamera's many features isn't as intuitive as in its rivals. The infotainment interface is the biggest offender and has been a persistent Porsche gripe. The company claims that these are secondary in a "driver's car." Still, we expect more in a premium luxury vehicle.
