Used 2002 Lexus IS 300 Sedan Consumer Reviews
Great Entry Level Sports Sedan
This car reminds me of the 3-series of old. Driving fun factor is a 10, while a little practicality is lost (gas mileage, trunk space). But this is an awesome car to own and drive. I highly recommend this vehicle to spirited drivers who want Lexus realibility and great service. The IS may appear to be "flashy" by some, but this is an automobile for true car enthusiasts who enjoy driving and sees having luxury ammeminites as a bonus.
Awesome Car
This car is hot. I love it, and would not trade it for any other car in its class. I test drove both the 3.2tl and g35 as well as the 328i. This car has no comparision to any of these.

Best car
It's no M3, but that's only because it doesn't have the horsepower. My father likes it better than his 3-series. In its defense, however, I don't drive it on a racetrack, so when do I ever need 300+ HP?
This car RULES
I've owned my 5-speed for almost a year (minus a month and a half for some repairs ;)), and I can easily say it's the most fun-to-drive car I've ever driven. The car handles superbly; I love the way it hugs the road in a turn, the squeel of the tires as I round a bank, the roar as I downshift to pass someone who shouldn't have been in the fast lane. The VVT-i engine is really noticeable in a launch (push that TRAC button to see what I mean).
Great car all around
Definitely an excellent car. Fun, quite fast. Handling is crisp and predictable; ride is smooth. Much better car than competition in the same class. The only thing it could use is a little bit more power.
