2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Rwd 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 4A)
I bought my Jeep after looking at a
Ford Explorer and Expedition. Overall
I really was looking for a more compact
look but yet still a stylish look with
lots of features and Jeep won. I love
my Jeep it is a beautiful color
(pewter) with Slate interior with oh
yes a sunroof, it won my heart.
Sun roof, dark interior, pewter on the
outside. room rear end, compact yet
stylish. Handles very well on the road
and high off the ground.

Not much to say; this is the third
Grand Cherokee I've owned. Except for
regular maintenance, the last one never
saw the the inside of the dealer's
garage. It was totally reliable and I
got 15 MPG average over the four years
I owned it.
I like the V-8 engine. The navigation
system works perfectly. Not that it
was bad before but the ride is very
smooth this year and the steering is
lighter making for a very pleasant ride
on the freeway. Off-road, it's
incredible! The tire pressure sensors
are a good idea.

Although this SUV is nice looking with
off-road capability, buyer beware that
it will likely leave you stranded on the
side of the road at some point. That's
what happended to me and I regret not
paying closer attention to its
reliability reviews. Purchased brand
new, I've had the vehicle for less than
1.5 years and found many quality
concerns: overheated engine, repeatedly
detaching door panel, leaks in engine
and transmission, faulty gas cap... Just
about every section has had some sort of
problem requiring multiple trips to
Smooth ride. Price was right at the
time, but I didn't know that I was
entering into a service related
nightmare. Car is still under warranty,
but at this mileage should not need any
repairs to mechanics or body.
Engine and cooling system reliability is
very poor. Poor quality interior too
since panel detaches from the door.
This car will need a lot of improvement
before I buy a Jeep again.
