This is a terrific vehicle! I was a previous owner of a Quest and wish I had started with the Odyssey. Kid friendly, plenty of cup holders & storage. Easy to fold seats, even my 5 yr. old can do it. The DVD has a crisp, clean screen. This vehicle is so quiet during city & highway driving. Easy to read dash & user friendly climate control. So much more superior to the Quest. It gets great gas mileage. I can't say enough good things about this van!

I love this van already. It has so much storage space it is ridiculous. We are still finding pockets daily! This is amazing and so is the fuel economy given the fact that it is almost twice as large as my small SUV owned previously. Also drives like a car and prrrrs like a kitten as you would expect from a Honda. My dad has a Honda Accord w/ 250,000 miles on it!

Our van is a work of art and is a pleasure to drive. We have had it for a month and put over 2000 miles on it. Disappointed that we are getting 22 mpg. It was advertised as 29 to 30 with the computer controlled shutdown of three cylinders.

We have been driving this van for two weeks now, up from a 2004 Honda CRV. It is very roomy inside, the base model has all I want, the ride is very comfortable. The amount of cargo room is impressive because the floor is very low (the spare tire is under the middle seats) I tried the 2006 Sienna: downshifting from 5th to 4th was very noticeable, not on the Sienna. Other than that, they are very similar. Note: the van can accomodate only three child seats: two in the middle row, one at the center of the third row -- read my problem with hooks below. With a child seat in the third row, you cannot lower the widest portion (60%) of the third row, only the narrowest (40%).

We had a 1999 Odyssey and loved it so much that when it was time for more features, we simply bought the 2006 Odyssey. I chose the black with tan leather interior--for a minivan, this is a very sporty combination, in my opinion. I love the reliability and all the convenience features. I shopped every SUV out there and couldn't find one that compared in terms of space, features and reliability.

The Odyssey is overall very decent. Upscale feel on the inside. Car is quiet and smooth. Satisfying power and surprisingly very good handling. I also own a Subaru STi and CBR1000RR bike, and still am pleasantly surprised at the Odyssey's acceleration and car-like handling. The Nav system is also very impressive and fast... this and the 630+ recognized voice commands are tres cool!!! Even my wife who was reluctant to buy this extra technogear now wonders how she got along without it. Here's the bad parts: Consistently disappointing gas mileage 16-17 mpg even when driven by my wife, who doesn't live life past 4K RPM. Sunroof is already broken, too.

My wife and I purchased this vehicle new in Feb 06. We are very pleased with the vehicle. We have averaged between 21-26 mpg since its purchase (70%highway) and have had no mechanical issues to date. I never imagined that a minivan could be fun to drive, but this one is. Most importantly, it is a very safe well engineered vehicle. My wife and two kids (20Months/3years) were recently involved in a serious side impact collision with a full size pickup. In the end, the vehicle suffered approx.19K in damage, but all three walked away unharmed. We purchased an 08 model as a replacement. Thanks Honda, From a greatful father and husband

It took almost 3500 miles to achieve the twenty mpg around town but I now have about thirty two hundred miles on my Odyssey and am completely satisfied. This is my third six cylinder Odyssey and by far the best. My son has my '99 and he thinks it's great, especially the dependability in the cold and snowy Northeast.

My Wife and I have made fun at minivan people for years. We never test drove one as we wouldn't get caught dead in one. But then we were pregnant with our 4th baby. The Odessey is one awesome minivan. Strong engine, cool to drive, great fuel economy (then again, our previous car was a GMC Yukon XL) and absolutely, positively the most versatile and comfortable vehicle for someone with a family. If you have 1-2 kids, get a sedan or a wagon, if more kids this is your car. Seats move, come off and configure anyway you want them. Get the DVD player if you have kids, it's well worth it! The sunroof is great too.

Owned a Chrysler T&C (loved it) and a Mazda MPV (loved it), With the extra money for the Odyssey, every penny was worth it. It is a world apart from the others. The interior is comfortable, roomy, and the handling is exceptional. I bought it for the standard electronic stability control, and am very pleased with the complete package. If you plan to haul the family around in a van, the standard electronic stability control should be the selling point here. Never leave home without it.

This van is great! Needed the ability to haul a lot of gear, and have room for 2 car seats. This minivan is amazing. Rides like a car, parks like a car, handles snow/ice like a 4WD (even though only Front Wheel). I cannot say enough about this van. We drove Siennas, Caravans, Voyagers, Sedonas and Quest. None of them compare to this van. Without a doubt, the Odyssey will be the first car we recommend to friends with or without kids. One slight annoyance with Lazy Susan and arm rests.

Good/Bad and Ugly

We are a family of 5. The (good) Honda's automatic opening doors were great with the twins when they were in car carrier seats. The room inside is great and the van still had plenty of power when 8 people were inside. The (bad) OEM brakes are not made to handle this vehicle, I swear we have had rotor problems twice, and the transmission had to be fixed. The (ugly) is the tires, 82,000 miles, and just put the fourth set on last Saturday. Have tired Mich, Yoko and Goodyear's twice. I have alignments every 6 months and rotate/balance every oil change. At least Sears pro- rated the last set for $300 dollars.

This van is great. We put 2000 miles on ours in the first two weeks of owning it. We took a road trip the second week. I cruised at over 90 mph and it drove better than my 2000 Suburban. The passing ability in this thing is unbelievable. The reason I bought it though, was of course, for the kids. It's really easy for my 2 and 5 year old to get in and out, especially with the automatic doors. I'm not sure yet how good or bad the mileage is, but the range is great.

My brother bought the car on 9/18/2006 from ValStrough Honda in Monterey, CA. He drove the car home (30 miles) and parked it in the garage. Two days later, I discovered a puddle of oil under the car. I checked under the car and it seemed to be leaking from the oil pan gasket. My brother took the car back immediately. The service dept was already closed so they checked the car the next day. They acknowledged that there was "oil residue", but were unable to find the source or replicate the leak. They told my brother drive it around some more and bring it back if it leaks again. He drove it home. Still leaking! Big Surprise! He's going to take it back tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

We absolutely LOOOOVE this van. The ride is smooth, quiet, and enjoyable. The quality is amazing. This is our first Honda and we couldn't be happier with it. In the past we have owned Toyota vehicles and the quality doesn't even compare with a Honda. We were almost sick that we almost bought the Sienna before looking at this van. Now, our kids (2 & 3) tell everyone they need a van like Mommy's.

The AC condenser developed a pinhole leak with no apparent road damage. Honda refused to cover under warranty. Cost me almost $800 to repair. I have found dozens of odyssey AC condenser problems on the internet. Looks like Honda is trying to deny the problem so they don't have to recall. I never had an AC condenser problem with other cars in 40 years of Florida driving.

Long dreaded joining the minivan club but our aging Ford Explorer couldn't handle a third car seat that is now less than 2 months away. Now that we've taken the leap, simply can't believe how great this vehicle is and why we didn't buy an Odyssey sooner. Outstanding fit and finish, utility, fuel economy (compared to a SUV), and ride comfort. Drives like a mid-size sports sedan. Quiet ride too--as long as the kids are pre-occupied with a DVD. A little embarrased to admit we really enjoy cruising around in a minivan now--this Odyssey changed our paradigm.

After 6 Chrysler vans we switched to our first Honda. The bad quality of the Chrysler vans and the good reputation of Honda caused the move. The extras are well done and the overall quality matched our expectations. But, the steering wheel is two inches closer to the dash than any other making seat adjustments difficult. I consider this an irritation not a major flaw. However, the real big problem is the PAX tire system. I would love to meet the engineers and management that approved it. The ride is hard due to extra thick sidewalls, you cannot replace the tires or rims with anything but the PAX type, and the cost is $250+ each just for the tire. This is going to kill the resale value.

I have owned my van for almost 3 years.I am now over 40,000 miles. I have had 2 motor mounts break. The gas mileage is approx. 13/city 21/hwy. The transmission makes a grunting noise. My brakes squeak even though 2 mechanics have told me they are fine. The leather on the driver seat is wearing, and yes I condition it. I am a little disappointed.

We purchased this vehicle to travel back and forth to myrtle beach sc. It is a 10 hour trip. I can't say enough about this vehicle. We had no problems whatsoever. It is comfortable and the dvd for the kids is great. We got around 24 mpg on the highway with the AC on. I think that is great for just breaking a vehicle in. It ran flawlessly. No doubt we purchased the right vehicle.

Have had my honda 2006 for 10 months. I have had to replace front brakes at 10,000 miles and the gas pedal had to also be replaced due to rattling and rubbing noises (metal against metal). They said it is the first time they have ever seen this. All in all we have really enjoyed this van. We upgraded from the 2003 because we were pleased with the quality of the first van.Road noise is still a problem and when the middle row windows are rolled down it sounds like a train going by at full speed. Hopefully, no other problems.

If you're looking for a great minivan that's fun to drive and looks nice, look no further. We drove all the top brands and Honda wins any comparison, hands down. That being said, the Toyota is a close second however, the ride isn't near as smooth or quiet and its expensive option packages make buying one a not-so- great experience. We've had our LX for a year and we couldn't be happier (unless of course we had the touring model, but that's a bit outside our budget). If you're thinking of buying a minivan, drive the Honda first then compare the others. You'll see what I mean.

This vehicle can do it all. Luxo ride like a limo, taut handling like a sport sedan, cavernous like a cave, our Odyssey can do it all. In a recent day long jaunt, our passenger didn't complain once about the mid row seating, and was more than impressed with the features of our EX-L model. It surprises people when they get passed on the highway by it, the power is so easy to call up. Maybe that's why I'm only getting 21 to 22 MPG right now, but I'm sure it will improve. All of the raves are correct, this is the minivan you want to own.

Fell in love with the 2005 Odyssey over the Sienna and others but the quality is lacking in many regards. The car has visited the service center multiple times. Wind noise, whistle from passenger side. Transmission sounds like it is going out. Windows already been serviced as they got stuck. Front center console stays in the down position, too noisy when extended. Hood is misaligned and told to take to get fixed. I have offered this vehicle for test drives to new customers, Honda refused because they know this vehicle wouldn't sell. 30,610 overpaid for this vehicle. Watch out!!

Now, the Accord rides smooth, but the Odyssey almost makes you think you are driving a smooth car, yet it's a fun to drive peppy minivan. The ergonomics of the interior are outstanding and the practibility are second to none. Spend the the extra few thousand dollars and buy quality versus anything else.

Drives very well for a large vehicle; never been wanting for more power; comfortable on long hauls; tremendous storage space and configurations; no coin holder; very good headlights; strange and confusing button layout for climate controls; we get 13.5 MPG around town (<5 miles) and 22-23 MPG on fwy; cloth seats are wearing very well; turning radius is OK; pretty easy to parallel park; excellent visibility; powerful A/C; seats 8 (4 adults + 4 kids in car seats + beach gear) pretty well - wouldn't want to drive more than a hour like that; second row seats are pretty easy to remove - I've had 4'x8' plywood sheets inside with tailgate closed!; clear gauges; silly number of cup holders.

Fun to drive and feels like a car. For a person of 5'.5", the steering wheel seemed to be a little bit of a stretch. Moving the second row seats together seemed to be laborious the first time when we did it. Also, sliding the 2nd row seats for the back row occupants to get in seemed to be a challenge always. Liked the 6 cd chager and dvd player. Like to see the Navigation like console with options would be ideal

Let me begin by saying I have never had any hangups about driving/owning a mini- van. My parents always drove a full size conversion van when we were young and then moved on to mini-vans when they came out in the 80's. I agonized over which van to buy, looked long and hard at the Dodge/Chrysler van, the Hyundai Entourage (way nicer than expected), the Quest and the Sienna. I could not be happier with the final choice. It really does drive like a full sized sedan. In some aspects it is better, you don't have the low visibilty over the hood that you do in a sedan and the driving position is high enough to see the road regardless of the height of the driver.

I love it!! I have 2 children and I cannot believe how much it has helped with convenience. I always said I would never drive a minivan, but now I wonder why I waited so long. It is the smoothest riding vehicle I have owned, & you cannot beat the amount of room in both back seats. If you have kids this is the way to go.

We previously owned a Dodge Caravan and the Odyssey blows it away in every way. It handles extremely well and is a dream on long road trips. Honda engineering is second to none and they have certainly listened to minivan ownwers with kids by incorporationg second row seats that move apart or together, second row windows that can be lowered and of course the stowable 3rd row seats. Fuel economy leaves a bit to be desired, and the price is a bit steep -- but you do get what you pay for. Other than that, we have been pleased so far.

My expectation for a Honda vehicle was that it would be well-built and reliable. I was very disappointed to find the low gloss, poor paint filled with dirt on horizontal surfaces, body panels that don't fit and indifferent build quality. This is domestic poor build quality for premium prices. Honda obviously has high gross profit margin on these cars built in Alabama because they certainly haven't invested in their process or quality control safety nets to deliver value. I'm sorry that I didn't buy the Sienna. Having said this, we love the van, but feel that it delivers marginal value for money paid.

The Good - performance, visibility, function and utility. Reasonably comfortable on long trips. The Bad - initial fuel mileage was poor and took close to 30,000 km before an appreciable difference was noticed compared to my 1992 Aerostar. Short carpet- tearing in rear well. At 43,000 km - power steering pump started making a growling nose was replaced. Bad road noise in mid to rear compartment of vehicle, even after under coating. Needs a better stereo system..no MP3. The Ugly - nothing yet.

Great vehicle to drive and ride in. Had a large SUV previously and do not miss it plus there is more room in the Odyssey.
