Money Well Spent
Has not been back to the dealer for any issues. This is a solid, good looking vehicle. It rides great. My wife and I really enjoy it to the point we are finding "reasons" to drive it instead of our 2005 Avalon. The new design seems upscale and sporty. Acceleration is adequate but a little more acceleration on tap when merging on the highway would be nice. Once at speed it is great. The interior, audio system and gauges are well thought out. (Wish the front seat cushions were a little longer and maybe a touch softer) Honda knows how to build a quality vehicle for the money!
Another great Honda
We haven't had a Honda for a while - last one was a Civic in the 90s. I loved it then and I think the CRV will be even better. We bought the car as a dinghy for our motorhome as it is one of only a few cars that can be towed '4 down' without mods. It was recommended by my motorhome friends. I am surprised at how nice and fun it is to drive around the city. I am averaging 27-28 MPG with careful driving - mostly highway on my SoCal commute. It's too new to comment on the AWD but next year we retire back to the land of ice and snow in Canada.

Really nice
I traded in a 2001 Subaru Outback for the CRV. The CRV is a wonderful midsize SUV. Styling, performance and handling are first rate. Standard features and the quality of the materials and build would have you think you were in a 35,000 vehicle. Only real negative is that rear seats do not fold flat. Other than that, flawless.
Love my CRV
I have owned my 2007 CRV for about 3 months and love it. I have owned the 2 previous model styles of the CRV and this one is the best. It looks great on the interior and exterior. I have been impressed with the gas mileage esp. compared to the previous 2 models. I average 22-23mpg in town and have been averaging about 28 mpg on the interstate on long trips. I have used the AWD in the snow and on hilly gravel roads where I live in SD. The AWD appears to work rather well on the snowy roads in our area.
Gotta Love It!
I moved up from an 06 Civic, which I loved. It was hard to leave it at the dealership. I will be moving to the top of a hill on about 3 miles of uphill dirt/mud/snow, and wanted something higher off the road and AWD. As sad as I was to leave my fun Civic, 10 miles down the road, I knew I had done the right thing. I'm a little nervous about going from my excellent fuel economy to something a little more costly. But in my first 300 miles, I've averaged 29 mpg. I love the mpg guage too. You can easily see where you could improve driving habits.
The CRV
This is an exceptional car for the price. And, the fold up rear seats create the room I need in my work
Great Car
Just bought on a couple days ago, really love this car, only complaint is steering wheel hides some of controls, otherwise drives real nice. Wife has an 06 CR-V side by side differences aside from body styling is smaller windows on sides, no spare on back, larger and more angled windshield. Would be nice if you could get XM on the EX instead of just EX-L. Car handles great, almost drives like a sports car.
Not a bad SUV at all!
I am not a big fan of SUVs. I test drove this after reading the rave reviews and bought it after extensive research and test driving of cars. The 4 cyl is extremely refined and has adequate power and a decent fuel economy for an SUV. The CRV is extremely athletic and very car like in its handling (felt sportier than the 07 Camry, RAV4 but not as much fun as CX-7). There is some wind noise at highway speeds but it is not very significant. Extremely well finished interior (Camry had uneven gaps in the plastic) and I love the display. Definitely sexier than the boxy 06 CRV. Wanted the Honda reliability and this car has a decent gas mileage. Overall, a great value. Will get Z4/G37 in a few years.
Hard to beat this vehicle!
We were looking for a luxury SUV that was elegant on the inside and out, and one that was affordable with all the options. We looked at more expensive SUVs including Volvo XC 90, Lexus ES 330, and others, but nothing compared with the price.
Me and My Honda
I've always been a jeep owner for 12 years. This is my first Honda and I love it. I can't believe how roomy it is! We didn't sacrifice space with this smaller SUV!
Love my CRV
Being new to Hondas, wasn't sure what to expect. I have the most fun driving my CR-V. Like the exterior design, very cute and compares easily to higher end models. Find the interior to be very roomy. Gas mileage is not quite what I had expected for a Honda but still very acceptable (24 hwy/city, 30+ trip). Would like to have more power though mpg would be sacrificed. Find that it shifts to a lower gear more often than I'd like when going on hills. Would still buy it again!
I love this car!!
I love my CR-V. I did a great deal of research before buying this car and it paid off!! The CR-V drives very good and gets excellent gas mileage. It's roomy on the inside and is very comfortable. I actually find myself making excuses to go out just so I can drive. The XM radio is wonderful and the sound system is great. This SUV has pick up and go with a smooth ride to boot. I really love my CR-V.
poor fuel economy
My 2007 had problems in manufacturing. Within the first 350 miles it had an oil leak. At first it was assumed to be the oil pan gasket. Continue to leak and was found to be the left engine seal. The problem was, they had to wait to get a special part so they could remove the engine in the new 2007's. Apparently, they had not planned on removing the engines so soon. Also, the mileage advertised indicated 23/30 read the fine print. It says, 19 to 26 in town. According to the dealer after the first oil change "we will see". Do not anticipate much more. I am getting about 16.8 in town. Good luck
The Best Small SUV
Outstanding quality, great fit and finish, great handling. Based on consumer reports recommendations we went out to buy a RAV4, but decided to take one last look at a CR-V. The CR-V ride won us over. This is a great little SUV and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for this type of vehicle.
1 Week with the new CRV
A great little ride. Haven't had any problems yet. Wind noise is a little bit more than used to especially with the roof open but not overly harsh. Fit and finish of the usual superb Honda quality. Love the way the dash looks at night....very informative. Respectable 24 MPG mainly city but hoping it will improve greatly as the car ages. Very comfortable driver and front passenger seat position. Don't know how I ever did without steering wheel radio and cruise controls. Car feels like it's on rails and seems as if it can corner rather sharply in turns.
Great vehicle
I have only owned it a week and love how it drives--so smooth, quiet, responsive. Can't comment on mpg yet. I like the shelf in the back versus a privacy screen that rolls. Very good looking vehicle too. I waited for this new model to come out. My daughter owns a 2004 CRV which she loves but now she is in love with mine, especially the young, sporty look, the better radio sound the 6-CD changer and the moon roof. I was also comparing the CRV to RAV4 and chose the CRV due to the new styling, big door handles inside, and hatchback. I didn't need the moon roof and would prefer back-up sensors, automatic headlights, automatic soft closing of hatch. Still it is great value for the money!
2007 Honda CR-V
Car has a number of options normally found on more expensive vehicles, e.g., vehicle stability control. Too, the elimination of the spare tire from the rear gate makes the car more appealing and the gas mileage is good.
Glad I waited
I'm glad I waited for the new CRV. Was about to get a new RAV4 but did not like the large spare tire on the back. The new CRV looks great and you can't beat the build quality of Honda. One dealership had a $2500 mark-up above MSRP. My dealership never does that and I got a good deal considereing i was getting one from their 1st shipment. The transmission is really smooth - car is extremely quiet. One-touch sun roof can't be heard. Room is fine. Thought I might ge the LX, but the price differnec between the LX and EX isn't all that much. Great looking - gets unanimous praise for looks - really happy with this car.
Surprising Value
When compared to other SUVs and crossover vehicles, the CR-V ends up a better value and cheaper than other brands. I am a returning Honda customer, purchased for the reliability and ended up getting decent fuel economy, roomy interior, pleasant ride and the ability to haul around things that won't fit in a traditional car.
Great Car! Comfortable and Practical!
I'll admit, I initally did not want to buy an SUV for my wife. A nice, safe car seemed a better fit. I'll admit I was wrong though, the mileage for the CR-V has been very good, and it's been very useful while making home improvements (which is why we got the SUV at all). It's fun and comfortable to drive, both for short commutes to work and long 3+ hour trips. MP3 player stock, iPod connection, solid, quiet, stylish, and reliable. I highly recommend!!
Happy to return to Honda
Sold Jeep Grand Cherokee. Thought may lose interior space & power, but very pleased CR-V has plenty of space & 4 cyl has surprising zip. Smooth ride & good turn radius. Compared to Toyota Rav4 & Jeep Liberty. CR-V better vehicle/price for money. CR-V fun to drive, smooth ride, lots of head/leg room interior, avg 22-26 mpg so far but dealer says will increase after 1st oil change. Told by several people CR-V exterior similar to Lexus & BMW 4WD.
Poor Mileage
I have only had the car for less than a month and I have filled up at $40 + 5 times so far. My R/T to and from work miles is 60 per day, I filled up on a Sunday night, drove to work (commuter lot) 27 miles away and return on Monday, missed Tuesday, and Wednesday and I am already at 1/2 tank. I must go back to the dealer. I am not getting even 16 miles to the gallon, something must be wrong. Tested with no air, windows closed, sunroof closed and at about 60 miles per hour and it's like the gas is just leaking out somewhere. Don't buy this car if you have to commute!
2007 Honda CR-V LX AWD
The CR-V always impresses us with its practicality and ease of use. The cargo area will easily swallow 3 full size bikes or a lawn mower. It gets impressive gas mileage, without sacrificing power or size. The CR-V will hold five people in comfort. It is also nice to drive and gets the highest possible crash test ratings. The only complaint I have is that a V6 version or some other higher power version would be nice. I think the Subaru Forester is a better vehicle, but it isn't as roomy.
The New CR-V Rocks!
This is the most efficient vehicle i've yet owned. Great MPG and requires only regular gas and is an SUV at that! Nice turning radius and maneuverablilty, but a little too much braking pressure is needed to stop. Pick up is adequate. Love the nitro gas tires. Wish the armrests were independently adjustible, as I recline more than most others do while driving (don't worry- not so much that I'll sleep). The armrest is stationary (so it rises to a more obtuse angle which means more awkward contact with the steering wheel, despite wheel telescoping and tilting). Love the car so far and my only wish other than the above is that the driver seat be multi-powered, the EX-L be powered.
Love my new car!
We just recently bought this car for myself to drive with my two young children. I love driving it. It gets great gas mileage. The maintenance minder is very cool.
Love my 6 month old CRV!
Hondas are great cars. I'll probably always buy Honda. I traded in my 1999 Honda Odyssey EX,(121,000 mi. - pretty impressive!) in for the 2007 ex/4dr/awd CRV 6 months ago. I love it! Darn good get up and go for a 4 banger. I have only one complaint Honda: next time use the same fabric the the CRV, that you put the Odysseys.
Fantastic - very pleased after 4 months
Terrific. No problems after 4 months, looking forward to driving it every day. Great ride, getting 26 mpg non-highway, naviation system is fantastic, backup camera is extremely convenient. My first Honda, and will not be my last.
CRV Delivers as promised
Picked up my CRV last week. Replacing a beloved 100K+ subie wagon. Tested RAV4, Subie Outback, Prius, Rougue, Accord. Loaded up a pile of camping gear, my 14 year old kid and dogs this weekend. Amazing cargo capacity, great handling and super comfortable. Now as to the critics and some consumers saying the car is under powered. Bull! It moves out smartly, flies up steep grades and passes with confidence on hilly interstates. Nuff said. I'm extremely happy with my decision. 24MPG so far and a great stablemate to my 2002 LL Bean Outback.
Solid inside and out
My wife and I have owned our CR-V for over 2 years and couldn't be happier. It's perfect for running errands around town and can handle just about any New England snow storm. The gas mileage is great 22/city, 30 highway but the trade-off is less power that is most noticeable on the highway. If you're more concerned with 0-60 then you want to look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a small SUV that's priced well, gets good gas mileage and can lug around big pieces of furniture when called upon, you can't really beat this one.
Wow. Great car
I loved the CRV! It was the best car I had ever gotten. I wish it came in a manual shiftstick though. I would have loved it more!
Nice ride
I traded my 2001 for this, and the change is like night and day; the new model is much less truck-y looking and feeling, and has a much quieter more car-like ride. The gas mileage over my old 5 speed standard is better; with not quite a month of very mixed driving, the mpg is around 27, and an early highway trip hit 29 mpg. The CR-V hugs the road better and feels less skittish than the old model in sharp turns; there is a fair amount of thump and bump over uneven pavement, but still a big improvement. I was waiting for the new model to come out before trading, and it was well worth the wait.
New & Improved
Looks & drive nice. New exterior makes it look like a high end luxury SUV. On the road a number of people stopped and said nice looking car! Seem to be doing very good on mileage.
A Good Car to Own
My Wife and I made a decision when we discovered another child was on the way, that we should get the family a new car. We sold our 2001 Hyundai 300 XL and purchased a 2007 EX-L AWD CRV. We had averaged around 21 mpg with the Hyundai and are now averaging 24 mpg with the Honda. The quality craftsmanship difference for the Honda vs Hyundai is huge. You get what you pay for. I feel much better knowing my wife and two daughters are safe with a very reliable car to transport them throughout their weekly routine. I wish the Honda had more power, but with today's fuel prices the fuel economy is more important. My wife had owned a Prelude before we were married, so she's a Honda Gal anyway
My First Honda
This is my first ownership experience with a Honda, and so far I love it! What appealed to us the most, other than gas mileage and reputation, was the ground clearance and seat height adjustment. Both of us have some back troubles and most sedans sit too low to the ground. You literally have to pull yourself up of those low seats. But not with the CR-V. It is easy to get in and out of. It is probably the most practical vehicle we have ever owned. I did much research on the internet and compared CR-V with many competitors. None of them matched the CR-V in quality, standard options or price. Love my Honda CR-V!
Excellent Suv! Great Fuel Economy!
I was looking to purchase a car for the last 6 months, I read reviews studied test drove etc. I spent so much time looking to find perfect car as I took such a hit on depreciation on my last car, I didn't want it to happen again. After studying and comparing the Toyota Camry, Saturn Aura and Jeep Patriot, I ran into this car. It swept me off my feet. With all the stuff I got it is pretty much the same price as the Patriot but you get the durability of this car and the great fuel economy! Right now, mostly freeway, I'm avg 28.2 mpg! Black on black is fantastic looking plus the Navigation! You can change color of navigation!
A Fun Car!
I have only had this car for a week, but I truly do enjoy driving it. The interior is beautiful and comfortable, and the exterior is sharp I'm getting a lot of great comments on it! The display is easy to read and appealing to the eye. I find myself volunteering to go to the store, pick up the dry cleaning, etc. ... any excuse to get in my CRV and drive.
CRV LX 2WD
Just got my CRV 4 days ago. So far I love the zippiness (even for 4 cylinders) - it certainly beats the '98 Civic I just traded in. There is tons of cargo room which is deceiving from the outside. There is plenty of room inside for my family of four. Gas mileage is pretty good so far but I'm hoping it increases a bit more as I break the car in. I only have 125 miles on it thus far.
Best CRV ever
This is the best CRV ever! I have owned Honda vehicles and motorcycles since 1982 and this CRV is at least at 10 times better than my 1999 Honda CRV. The handling for a tall SUV like vehicle is outstanding... My wife hated our 99 CRV because it was noisy climbing hills and at speed. She was astonished at the improvement and how much better the 07 CRV is. We are very pleased with this vehicle.
1st time Honda owner
Purchase the 2007 CRV because of the new styling. The vehicle has not disappointed me. There are a few things that I wish it include. Automatic head lights, Rear seats that folded flat. Overall a great car. We were driving a full size SUV that was fully equipped. There are some bells and whistles we miss.
Very nice car
We have not owned this car very long, but my husband and I both love it and love to drive it. I love the look, and it is a lot of fun to drive!!
Nice little SUV
We bought this little guy to replace our 1992 Accord wagon (totaled from behind!), and it's been a pleasure driving it. The leather interior is very comfortable and of high quality. The only thing I'm *not* keen on is the lack of ability to "punch" the gas when you need a sudden acceleration (and in Miami, which has more idiot drivers per capita than most other cities, this is a *must*). You can give it a slow push and it will accelerate relatively well, but if you try to punch it, it just kind of dies. I guess that's what you get with a 4 cylinder engine: you trade a little bit of safety for fuel economy.
Love my CR-V
I've had my CR-V for over a year now, and I don't think I could be more pleased with it. I find it very comfortable on long trips (up to 2 weeks / 4500 miles). Mileage has been better than expected, averaged about 30 MPG, with a couple of tanks over 31 MPG, on the 4500 mile trip with some city driving, and I've got the AWD version rated at 28! Another, 2500 mile trip was 29+ average with much driving around Austin. Ride and handling are excellent, but the tires (Bridgestones) could be better. Acceleration is very good for a 4-cyl; haven't ever really wanted for power.
Satisfies My CRaVing!
Purchased the vehicle after my 02 Toyota RAV4 transmission and computer expired (not what you'd expect from a Toyota but corporate did fix the problem for free). However, not trusting a rebuilt transmission, I immediately went to test drive the 2007 CRV having admired the redesign immensely. LOVE THIS VEHICLE!!! Although I'm not getting the same fuel efficiency I did on my RAV, this car is above and beyond in class and style. I did purchase the roof rack, spoiler, moonroof visor and foglights to add a bit more excitement to the exterior, and I don't regret it. For the money, this vehicle carries lots of near-luxury styling! The more I drive it, the more I love it. You will too!
Solid SUV but needs more horsepower
This SUV has great style both inside and out. This a a great car if you have one or two kids and the dog. It's actually less than advertised in the city and pertty good in the hwy. I just think it really lacks on pick up. It needs more power. Would have been great in a V6.
Two Thumbs Up
Initially, my wife and I thought the RAV-4 was our favorite, but after test driving the CR-V and comparing features and price, there is really no comparison (unless you think the V-6 option on the RAV-4 is important.) We found the CR-V to be quieter, interior much more refined and plenty of power from the 4 cylinder engine. My wife enjoys having space for her purse on the center floor beneath the gear shifter pod. Have driven only about 400 miles and the mpg seems be close to advertised numbers. The vehicle has a firm, solid feel on the road and visibility is excellent. I'm thinking that this is one vehicle that we will be keeping for awhile. Wish it had auto headlights, otherwise very happy
2 Months with New CR-V
Pros: Ride, handling, navigation and fuel economy. Before buying car I thought power is not enough on the highway but with little bit of acceleration you have the power you want. I am not a sort of fast driver so power is more than enough for me. The car handles very smoothly and it is comfortable. Road noise is like other good car. I can't understand why some people are talking about it. Interier is really nice, all the buttons on the steering lightup when head lights on.
Love it, Love it, Love it!!
I love driving this car! It is very classy, yet practical. The exterior is very sleek and attractive. I have the royal blue pearl exterior with black leather interior. It has a lot of kick for a 4 cylinder. I have gotten a lot of compliments, especially from a current 2002 CR-V owner who now wants to upgrade. I was contemplating buying the RAV-4, but the features available on the CR-V, along with the appearance far outway any other SUV in its class. The safety features are amazing and got me a low insurance rate. I previously owned a Civic and I now only pay $60 more a year, which is quite reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend this car to anyone considering buying a mid-size SUV!
Nearly perfect
Best all around SUV made at any price. Makes so-called luxury SUVs from Europe look like fools gold!
Disappointing gas mileage and performance
Got the '07 CRV AWD as a commuter work horse and it serves its purpose. But after reading other reviews, I wonder if our CR-V is just off. Even after 5000 miles, best I have ever gotten is 22-24 mpg on pure freeway driving with no stop and go. I expected much better gas mileage. Really needs a 6 cyl particularly given the extra weight the AWD puts on the vehicle. Really struggles to maintain freeway speeds (70+ mph) on inclines. Overall, it's a decent little SUV. I guess I can't expect it to drive or perform like a $50K+ SUV. Wish I could tell when the AWD engages!
CR-V Rocks!
Space, size, and gas mileage! Wow! I get a whopping 28MPG in mixed city/ hwy driving! This SUV is smart, sexy, and smooth. Love the XM radio. My first Honda and I am sure not my last!
