Used 2006 Honda Civic Si Consumer Reviews
2006 Honda Civic Si
I have 6500mi on the car now. Most people regret new car purchases but not with this car. I upgraded from an 02 Honda Civic Ex w/ 40,000mi. If you are serious about this car and you find one thats not already sold, go for it. You will not be disappointed
awesome
the spaceship is an awesome experience. from time you turn the key this car does nothing but respond to your every whim. whether it is accelerating, passing, shifting, manuvering, or handling you feel in total control of your every move. kudos to honda & its formula one racing team. your engineers can take a graceful bow...awesome.
Shes a keeper
Just love it, Honda worked up a real Si this time. Get in the gas and just when you think the power is dropping off the backside of the RPM curve the iVTEC opens up and the real fun begins. I sometime forget the car has a 350watt sound system because I love to hear the little motor that could wake up at 6grand and let you know its the little motor that will. I have had a lot of front wheel drive cars and none of them come close to what this car will do, turn the wheel tight and hit the gas NO wheel spin just some Gs and bang your off in a new direction. It truly is the baddest car you can get for the money. Plus its a Honda.
2006 Si
I purchased the 2006 Honda Si after a great deal of research and many vehicle test drives. As a matter of fact, I test drove it, then called the dealer two hours later and told him I wanted it. After owning the car for a day, a rattle developed in the back. I began searching for the cause and determined that the passenger side rear seat was not latched - problem solved. When cruising, the car is very quiet, but accelerate up through the gears and the tuned exhaust sings as the engine tachs up. Cornering is a dream in this car with virtually no body roll, and the deep buckets really hold you in place.
Somewhat disappointed
I bought this car on a whim, remembering my CRX Si from years ago. I hoped it could match the fun-factor that car had. Instead, this model feels a little nose heavy, and Honda has taken the "soul" out of the Si line. It has never left me straded, but there are little things here and there that i have had to visit the dealer for. It scoots ok when you ring it out, but is cumbersome in city driving due to its lack of torque. I would be happier if they got the weight down a little and increased low end torque so i am not revving to 4k rpms just to get up to speed. overall, a decently quick mode of transportation, but there are better choices out there.
