Used 2009 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Ugh...
I was expecting this car to be quality. Hah I was so wrong. Obtrusive brake noise after 300 miles and the dealer said it's part of the design. Actually a customer was right behind complaining about her brakes too. Seats felt like they were made from steel or something because my backside fell asleep every time I drove more then 30 miles. Dash was ugly and the only pleasant thing I can offer for this car was the design is not bad.
Love This Car
This is my 5th Honda product and they keep getting better. I just traded an 06 Accord for this 09. It is much better - bigger, more horsepower, and quieter. Love this car and would buy another.

Good overall vehicle
As previous Honda van owners, I felt we couldn't go wrong with the Accord when I needed to upgrade my 12-year old car. Has good pick-up from start and when on the highway and can get up to triple digits if necessary. I've had no issues with it in the first 10 months of ownership, which is what I expected. Want more speed and features? Step up to the EX/V6. Want good, reliable, safe, basic transportation? Kind of hard to go wrong with the Accord.
Just Okay
The car is very pretty but don't let the looks fool you. I only have 800 miles on the car and so far it's been a bad experience. I never bought a Honda before and I am disappointed in every way. After hearing all the great reviews from everyone I had to try. The car rattles on medium radio volume (about talking level, I don't like loud music). No brand new car should rattle. The audio quality is horrible. Poor, not as expected gas mileage (16 mpg with mixed highway/city driving). The windows constantly fog up and rear defroster doesn't work. There's also a lot of road noise! I should have spent the extra money to get something else.
Great family sedan
I traded in a 2007 civic si 4 door sedan on a new accord. My wife could not drive the 6spd manual and she hated the ride. I must say I am a die hard Honda lover, my past 2 cars were civic's, one an ex manual coupe and most recently the si. The accord is way more family friendly and has better creature comforts but I miss the style and handling of the civic. This car seems enormous to me but maintains tight handling for such a big car. The exterior looks great and the engine seems to have enough pep for a 4 cylinder. I researched the Camry as well, and honestly I think this car is better handling and the interior is built with better quality. It's no civic si but it is still a Honda.
