Unlike other automotive initialisms such as SS, GT and GTO, Bentley's EWB communicates to buyers specifically what it is. Those letters stand for "extended wheelbase," and they mean that the EWB has 7 more inches between the front and rear axles than the regular Bentayga. That translates directly to an equal increase in rear seat legroom, making one of the most luxurious SUVs in the world just that much more lavish and comfortable.

Even in an era when Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini sell SUVs, there's really only one direct competitor to the Bentayga. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is just as opulent as the Bentayga and offers a similarly overwhelming menu of customization options, but not even the Roller gives buyers the choice of regular and long wheelbases.

The Bentley Bentayga offers buyers customization options well beyond what mainstream shoppers are prepared for. Solid, metallic and satin paints are available; with the option to commission a personal hue, color choices are unlimited. Depending on trim level, there are up to 13 wheel options and four available brake-caliper colors. Inside, buyers choose from 23 leather colors in one of seven color splits (how much of the door panels do you want to match your seats? Would you like the bolsters to match the back and bottom cushions, or do you prefer those to be a contrasting color?) with four stitching options. Fourteen different wood trims are available — with or without metal inlays — plus carbon fiber and brushed aluminum. There are five options for how the steering wheel alone is upholstered. Even in some alternate reality where everyone drove a Bentayga, it'd be exceedingly unlikely anyone would ever encounter another one exactly like theirs.
