Used 2009 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Should be better
I have had my new Honda accord for 3 months. Everything is Ok, but not as good as I expected. The worse thing is it gives so much noise, especially on the local road. I have visited the service twice already. I had read some reviews, it seems the noise is a common issue for this model of car. The seats are a little too hard for those who do not weigh so much.
Overall Good Buy!!
This is my 3rd Accord coupe. I have owned a 2003 and 2006 4CYL. this time I decided on the 2009 V6. It is definitely fun to drive. I look forward to my daily commute. The V6 is powerful and responds immediately, especially if you drive it in D3. The one major complaint I have is the road noise. It seems inherent in all the coupes. Don't know if it is a problem in Sedans. HONDA... please do something about the road and wind noise.

Great bang for the Buck
I have had my Honda for 8months now and thought I would relay my remarks. I currently have 10.5k miles. Now I'm a pretty picky man and take attention to detail. The Honda took my expectations above and beyond. Nothing broke or had I had a problem with. It did well in the Chicago winter with heated mirrors and the defrosters are placed well. I love this car. I am getting paint chips but I do ride on the Highways mostly. For those that complain about road noise get better/bigger tires - I hear no noise with the stock 18' low profile tires. Those that complain about the seat, well I never have a problem, perhaps my model has a better seat. Great car - I expected to ride this into the ground at 200k+.
Almost in Love
After many test drives, Avalon, Camry, Altima Coupe, Jetta - I traded in my Maxima and purchased the Accord Coupe V6. My second Accord in 4 years and I must admit the styling is a knockout. The black on black is a beautiful combo. Handling, comfort, dash layout, ergonomics - top of the line. If you took off the badges I'm sure people would not know what it is - this isn't your folks Accord. Only complaint is the variable cylinder concept. When cruising the car feels like it is skipping, missing, sputtering. When you give it some gas the puppy jumps. I love it but would have preferred a manual. I do miss the Bose sound system in the Maxima. Overall a great car at a great price!!
Where's the MPG?
My second Accord. The reliability and resale value are unbeatable. The ride is firm, but it has a sporty feel to it. The seats are quite comfortable. I love the sound system that adjusts it's volume to the speed of the car. The center of the dash is very cluttered. Driven the car 5000+ miles and still have to take my eyes off the road just to tune the radio. Too many buttons. The MPG is a major disappointment. Bought the 4 cylinder hoping for the advertised 30 MPG. Not even close. 26 is the best I've ever achieved; after 2 straight hours of interstate driving. Usually 22-24, with a low of 21 MPG. Sad for a 4 cylinder.
