2019 Ford Ranger XLT 4dr SuperCab SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)
I bought the 2019 ranger xlt with some extras in it and I have had nothing but issues out of it. It has been to the dealership probably 8 times and doesn't even have 15k miles on it. It is currently in the shop bc the rear end blew up. The dash went out before 5k. The radio also went out before 5k the alternator went out right before I hit 5k. All the speakers on the passenger side blew … before 2k. It has been for multiple check engine lights and other modules saying they are inop. Truck left me on the side of the road before 5k

2019 Ford Ranger XLT 4dr SuperCab SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)
Ive got 15,000 miles on my Ranger, Fit and finish is great, nice safety features great styling and layout. Gas mileage has rarely been more then 25 mpg, all the power you could ask for but the transmission is very jerky and the ride leaves a bit to be desired. Had I spent more time test driving it I probably would not have bought it. The transmission shifting is VERY annoying!!!

2019 Ford Ranger XLT 4dr SuperCab SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)
I just bought my 2019 Ford Ranger XLT Sport SuperCab 4x2 about a week and a half ago and so far, it seems just right. I have the 301a, Sport, and Towing packages with dealer installed drop-in bedliner and all season floor mats.
The interior is comfortable and roomy (except for the back seats if you have the SuperCab like myself), I've already driven it for an entire day with no issue. … The acceleration and torque is unreal. Ford nailed it with this engine and transmission combo. I get right around 20mpg, but I tend to have a lead foot. I haven't had the opportunity to tow anything just yet, but judging by the normal performance, I'm sure it'll be no issue.
Apple car play works great, blind spot warning system is good, the lane keep assist isn't as annoying as some other cars I've driven.
Overall, great truck.

Which Ranger does Edmunds recommend?
For most buyers, we believe the midlevel Ranger XLT will be a solid pick. The XLT strikes the right balance between cost and features, with a good amount of standard equipment and a long list of available options such as an 8-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control and Ford's FX4 Off-Road package.

Driving
7.0The Ranger has one main trick: a stout 2.3-liter turbo engine. Beyond that, the Ranger fails to impress. The 10-speed automatic is great in other Fords, but here it's typically unresponsive. Handling, steering and braking all suffer from varying degrees of unengaging blandness.
Comfort
6.5Aspects of the Ranger's ride may be a deal-breaker for some truck shoppers. The seats are comfortable, and the cabin is generally quiet. But that doesn't matter if the cabin bobs around to the point where passengers start to feel queasy.
Interior
7.0The Ranger is reasonably accommodating. The front seat is roomy and easy to get in and out of, but the same isn't true of the crew cab's rear bench. Likewise, visibility out the front is good, but the view out the rear is another story. Our biggest complaint involves the interior switchgear.
Utility
6.0The Ranger posts a high towing number. Payload ratings are also good, but that figure trails three competitors when you look at the crew-cab 4WD model everyone wants. More importantly, the Ranger gets dragged down by everyday issues such as so-so storage and a one-piece back seat that doesn't provide many in-cab storage options.
Technology
8.0We like most of what the Ranger has to offer, especially if you buy an XLT or higher. Those come with a Sync 3 touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a broad suite of driver safety and convenience aids. But the touchscreen could stand a few shortcut buttons, and folks without a smartphone and reliable data service will need to spend $795 on the Technology package to get built-in navigation.
