Bought the truck with 125,000 miles on it for $1500 dollars.New tires ,brakes, and brake lines and it runs great. The 8 foot bed is a must. In the winter in 4 wheel drive it will go through anything and you know you are safe! It is a 351 automatic and it runs smooth at 80 mph on the expressway. Great truck and actually worth more then some newer ford f 250's. The truck is indestructible. Yes the gas mileage is 10 mpg no matter what you are doing with it
I can't imagine ever owning a more capable truck..

I bought this truck with 84,000 miles on the odometer in 2007.She had a dent and some paint damage which I had taken care of at the best reputable body pain shop I could find. She came back looking better than she was on the show room floor. She now has 204,000 miles on her. I worked this truck hauling steel on a HD trailer in the state of Utah for at least 5 years daily. I have pulled people in bigger trucks out of the ditch in heavy snow. I am so fond of it's power and reliability I wish I could be buried in her when I finally die. It is the 7th of March in the year of our Lord 2023 as I am writing this review. "big Red" is outside ready and waiting for the next adventure as faithful as she ever was. Ford did right by me and themselves in her creation and I am truly thankful.

This truck does everything well. What's amazing today, 13 years later, is its reliability and it drives new. "Built Ford Tough" is true. This isnt a commercial, just 13 years of ownership. I bet the truck has 13 more years left. Has 120K now and should do 250k. After 1200 miles, always used Mobil1. Replaced shocks and tires normal interval. Oxygen sensor replaced once and just changed the plugs at 120K and engine sounds new and runs out perfect.

I have owned this truck for 11 years and have done very little other than scheduled maintenance. I have hauled trailers up mountains, gone 4 wheeling over very large boulders, driven very long stretches with no problems what- so-ever. I have 198,000 miles on the odometer and have been amazed by the continued reliability of this truck. Ford has my business for life!
