Bullseye Auto Sales & Service (46.8 mi)
Ford F . 4 speed manual transmission, 5.0 OHV v-8, regular cab, long bed 2WD. Ok Folks here is the story- She is a PROJECT TRUCK with POTENTIAL for someone that needs or wants a pickup truck for a project. When done you can use her for hauling wood, debris, junk, whatever! There is no rust showing on her! This fellow goes to a City Auction and buys this non running truck, to him it is going to be easy. But, ahhh, it is not that easy. He figured just tow it to us and we could get it done. Like Magic! First off the city auction gives you the paper work that has to be taken to the MVA to get a SALVAGE CERTIFICATE. This is procedure, and as it is an ABANDONED vehicle it will be issued a title in time that will not be BRANDED. Now BRANDED means it will show up as salvage on the title, but dear reader this one will not be that way- it will be a clear and clean title. Then you have to schedule on-line and pre-paid to have this vehicle inspected by the Maryland State Police (MSP).This takes about 2 - 3 months. Well all of this is just a PITA. And when you take it to the MSP it has to run and drive into the building. AHHHH, another glich! The Reason- remember I said it was towed to us, and the reason is that the steering column had been partially sawed thru at the ignition switch. So we get a used 1990 steering column and install it. Only took about a month to get one. Now we need to replace the starter solenoid. On, yes charge the battery and hope it will be ok. Now she starts and runs, she has a miss, so a short spin down the road and she blows out her coolant, probably a blown head gasket. (another wonderful surprise!)So dear reader, why? Probably someone had a bad water pump (as it is replaced along with the upper and lower radiator hoses) that allowed the motor to overheat. She also needs header gaskets. Now the headlights are tired old plastic and we bought those too, So they are included. She has a damaged right rear quarter panel (bashed in) does not stop her from being a truck. And she is RED. Now, remember we have to get her to the MSP inspection, so she is towed there and back and she is passed, so when you get her, you will have a clear title. So there you go folks, a solid pickup that needs some TLC and only for $1400. So where can you find one like this that is RUST FREE! Call me, Glenn, and come take a look at her. (Pics will be posted in the next few days) She is AS IS, WHERE IS. And please if you have read this far, reread it before you call me to ask me the same stuff I have just explained. It is (at least I hope) fairly clear. It is a PROJECT TRUCK with POTENTIAL. Visit our dealership online to see more pictures of this vehicle or call us today to schedule your test drive.
