Used 2004 Ford Explorer Consumer Reviews
DVD Blocks the WAY
Nice SUV, Only problem with truck is it is it's interior is smaller than a 93 model I had owned. Also the DVD player's scene is right in your rear view mirror when the kids are watching, which is all the time. Still it beats having the kids fighting all the time on long trips. They were never so quiet before. Gas mileage could have been better 16-17 highway!!!! Over all GREAT SUV
Nice, but not my bag.
I rented on for a week long trip. It was what I expected in an American SUV. Bland exterior and interior, underpowered engine, but it its defence. It did swalow all my cargo and make it from Orlando to Key West on one tank of gas. For my 30K I'de look to an Audi Wagon or an Infinity FX 35/45

quality is not job one
Things started trim items started falling off after a month, the car squeeks all the time from the springs, door cjecks keep loostening up.Can't wait for the doors to fall off, what's next.Oh and by the way the linkage got so loose, that I can't go from drive into park, without stopping at reverse.
Built Ford Tough
I had a 2001 Explorer prior to purchasing the 2003 - WOW.... what a difference. I thought I had a great vehicle in the '01 Explorer - was I ever wrong! Ford made a wise decision in the design of this SUV. The Explorer has the feel of the Expedition but at a cheaper price... and the $3000 cash back and dealer discounts made the buying decision a no brainer for me. Test drive the Explorer. You'll drive it home.
Awesome
By far the best riding & handling SUV.....& the cheapest SUV to insure.
