Old vs New

As a child of the 60's and a driver of most GM muscle I can state "the sheer force felt behind the wheel of my 2SS is like nothing I've experienced before".....totally awesome. I can confirm the blind spots but have little else negativity about this car. The gears are so strong I can't always be certain what gear I'm in and looking down doesn't solve my problem......the performance reminds me of a 1968 Olds 442 with a 3.90 rear axle I once had; only much more sophisticated. As to trunk entrance and interior/inferior, this car is for screeching starts and rushes of testosterone and has nothing to do with the golf course or fancy materials. Start it up and listen....retro all the way.

Cost Per Laugh Still Going Down

Got all the toys; V8/2SS/RS, 21" black rims, black ground effects, hood stripe and sun roof. It's not yellow or red (it's silver) and yet people see it coming from a mile away. And OMG it's a kick in the pants to drive! With properly placed mirrors, there are no blind spots when driving down the road. But when backing out of a parking spot, hopes and prayers work best because you can't see squat. And it takes a little practice getting it into a tight spot in the garage. But who cares!!! Did I mention how much fun it is to drive? I went to a coffee shop close to a police station the other day and by the time I got back to the car, cops were circling and gawking. Now THAT was fun!

It took me a while to warm up to the Camaro. Perhaps it was my own belief that, other than the C6 Corvette, "old" GM wouldn't/couldn't truly build a decent performance car. But my daughter nearly begged me to look at the new Camaro. So I did the research plus read a ton of "professional" and consumer reviews before even taking a test drive. I did the same on Jaguar XK, Mercedes CL series, Porsche, Cadillac XLR, Corvette, Lexus SC, Infinity and BMW sport sedans. Then selectively test drove the other cars again. Yes, I over analyzed it, but I usually keep and use my cars for a long time. I bought the Camaro and haven't looked back. I've driven it on long trips and it's my daily driver.

Absolutely the best car I have ever owned. It is a blast to drive. I just want to drive it all the time. Every day when I go out to lunch people pull up and ask me about the car. I love the sound of the engine while driving.

I have owned at least 300 hundred cars in my life time most of them muscle cars so I speak with a more experience than most and I am not trying to brag just want to put more of an explanation point on my review. At any rate I love my Inferno red 2SSRS so much I bought another one in white but Identical in every other way. It is the most impressive off the show room floor car I have ever owned. I love looking at it, driving it, touching it etc. If you don't own one now you need to go all the way and get a 2ssRs and if you can't afford that get the 6cylinder one in a manual trans which will make it feel even more powerful than it is already 304 hp not bad for a six.
