Electric vehicles newly eligible for a federal tax credit
You can get more information on vehicle eligibility by visiting the EPA's fuel economy website. All of these vehicles are now eligible for the full $7,500 tax credit, though keep in mind that only certain trims (those costing less than $80,000) of certain vehicles will be eligible.

Keep in mind that in 2025, there are no vehicles eligible for the partial tax credit ($3,750) that previously most frequently applied to plug-in hybrids. Vehicles no longer eligible for the EV tax credit in 2025
Most of these electric vehicles fall into two categories: They're no longer on sale or they've fallen afoul of the battery sourcing requirements that came into effect for 2025.
