No spare tire

2018 Acura RDX 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Just bought a 2018 Acura RDX yesterday. It drives well and feels great so far. The one and main big negative is the brand NEW vehicle does NOT come a spare tire or jack! This was big shock to me, then they tried to sell me one for 800 dollars. Watch for this SCAM! Be warned! I feel so unsafe and anxious while driving without a spare, and I just bought it. Acura customer care will do … Nothing to help me out, so I am NEVER buying Acura again
Great Car

2018 Acura RDX 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
Have had my rdx about 18000 miles now, got it used in early 2020 with about 7000 miles on it. Great car, quite quick for an suv, and I love the j35 in it. Overall, great car, it’s very comfortable, the seats are nice, good legroom, and great storage. I upgraded from a 2012 CRV, also a great car just lacks power, so I was glad to upgrade to its bigger, better brother since it’s the same … chassis. Only real complaint I have is the jerky transmission but only when it’s cold, so it’s not even that big of a deal. The 6 speed auto is also great if you want to engine break or just drive it in manual mode. Service isn’t that much compared to “luxury car standards” since the parts are all Honda. Would recommend!
RDX is best care we have ever owned!

Smooth, reliable, comfortable, fun to drive. LOVE this car! Will absolutely buy another when the time comes. Best car and best dealership - DCH Tustin Acura would highly recommend!
Edmunds Summary Review of the 2018 Acura RDX Base SUV
What’s new
- No changes for 2018
- Part of the second RDX generation introduced for 2013
Pros & Cons
- Pro:Strong acceleration and fuel economy from standard V6 engine
- Pro:Elevated rear seat provides generous legroom and a commanding view
- Pro:More features than competitors at a similar or much lower price
- Pro:Generous cargo capacity for the segment
- Con:Technology interface can be distracting to use
- Con:High-tech safety features and adaptive cruise control don't work as well as some rival systems
- Con:Cabin lacks overtly luxurious look and feel
Which RDX does Edmunds recommend?
We recommend a fully loaded RDX with the Advance package and all-wheel drive since it's barely more expensive than the most basic BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace or Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class and provides the gamut of driver assist and infotainment technology, not to mention V6 power.

Driving
7.5The RDX's smooth-revving V6 sounds great and is responsive. Equipped with the optional AWD system, the drivetrain can send up to 40 percent of its torque to the rear wheels if slip is detected from the front wheels, perfect for slippery roads and performance driving.
Comfort
8.5Acura achieves a high level of comfort in the RDX that makes it an excellent daily driver, yet provides the space and flexibility for a multitude of weekend activities. Plus, the comprehensive suite of optional AcuraWatch active safety features provides added peace of mind.
Interior
8.5The sleek-looking exterior of the RDX belies the generous space within. Highlights include an extra-wide cargo hatch opening and ample shoulder and legroom for all occupants. Also, the standard rearview camera provides three useful camera modes: normal, wide angle and a top bumper view.
Utility
At 26.1 cubic feet, it's not the largest trunk in class, but a significantly wider rear hatch opening makes loading a breeze. Redundant seatback releases for the 60/40-split bench (one trunk, one on either side of the bench shoulders) are highly convenient.
Technology
The Technology package adds a second screen, 10-speaker audio system, voice-operated navigation and climate control, and smartphone integration. While fumbling with the controls and screens can be distracting, the system is useful.
