At 108,000 miles, my Nissan's transmission blew with no forewarning or signs. I have been taking it in regularly for oil changes and keeping up with fluids. Reached out to Nissan Consumer affairs and they said they could not help me because I did not purchase an extended warranty on the vehicle. I have had a Chevy with 131,000 and Ford with 180,000, no problems. I am even driving a temporary Mitsubishi car with 156000 on it and it still is running. Went online to see if others had this problem and it is the case. The car was great until it hit 100,000 and it just went downhill from there. The air had broken down and needed replacing. I replaced all 4 tires when one blew thinking it would be going for a little longer. Then a few days later the transmission was gone. Total waste and if I invest any more money, I will be paying more than what it is worth and do NOT want to chance something else going wrong... not worth it and get rid of it before 100,000 if you have one!

My vehicle was purchased with the thought that I would pay it off and have a car that would last me at least 10 years. I am absolutely destroyed and devastated that my 2013 Nissan with 109k miles broke down on the road absolutely no acceleration unable to go backward or forward, And I am lucky I was not on Interstate 295 or I95 cause I could’ve been killed. I had it towed to Aamco transmissions and they estimate approx $4500 to repair or rebuild it, and $460 just to take it apart to see what’s wrong with it so they know what to repair or rebuild. I was not aware of the CVT problem. I am ripped off and unhappy and will never buy another Nissan again but right now my problem is figuring out if I should take such a big loss & buy another vehicle or try to repair it. I now realize that the problems that I was having before might have been related to the transmission. In the past year, on a long over the road trip, My vehicle would be sputtering and losing speed, but I thought it was bad gas and I put seafoam in it, and then it seem to work OK. This happened twice. I now realize that it was the transmission starting to go and I wish I had known so I would’ve got rid of the damn car before it broke down completely. I found out that this type of transmission is in all of the Nissans, and a Nissan admitted that they were aware of it. For some reason my particular model was not covered under the warranty even though it was less than five years old. I believe Nissan rip me off and I would never buy another Nissan again. I just purchased a 2019 Honda HRV and I am very pleased with it. I have been driving my Honda HRV SUV now for 14,000 miles. I love the vehicle. Lotta pick up and go, extremely quiet, great ride great looking vehicle and it’s got everything that I want or need at an affordable price. The Nissan Rogue, only 4.5 years old, was very noisy and slow compared to the Honda. I would never own another Nissan product in my entire life.

Transmission was replaced at 70,000 miles. Even after the transmission being replaced, the vehicle will not go when accelerator is all the way to the floor at times. Forget taking a trip unless you want it to take double the time getting there because the vehicle only goes about 60mph after about an hour into the trip. This vehicle has been nothing but problems.

Me and my wife bought 2013 nissan rogue S not even a year ago , the car had 116,000 miles already when we bought it , right away , transmission broke , we invest a lot of money but still car did not feel the same after that , then radiator exploted , then front axels , oil dripping , time chain broke while I was driving in the highway, thank God nothing happened to me and still I dont know what to do with the car , already spend $ 6,000 just in repairs and it feels broken when you drive it . Please NEVER BUY NISSAN cars for your own safety .

I am 28 and this is the 19th new car I have owned. I have had everything from a 2 seater smart car to a crew cab full size pick up truck with cars from basic to luxury fully loaded. My 18th new car was a fully loaded 2010 Nissan Cube which was a GREAT car and has made me a loyal Nissan owner now. The price to maintane the vehicle is cheaper then its other Japanese competitors. This little SUV has enough pep to keep you happy with the great fuel economy that is truely hard to achieve in this class of vehicle. I have the FWD SV with premium package. I test drove this in 12" of unplowed parking lot snow and it plowed right through it!
