I was able to get 200k miles on this 08 Fusion SEL before it was unfortunately totaled. I can honestly say that the last mile in the car felt no different than the other 200k. The 3.0L 6 cylinder engine made the car a hoot to drive and still allowed me to get around 24 mpg. In those 200k miles the only non regular maintenance needed was an inside door handle that needed replaced around 100k miles (began peeling like some other reviews mentioned), and a CV axle and Tie rod that needed replaced around 185k miles. The axle and tie rod were from an accident my wife had so I can’t blame the car for those. This car was able to get through 3 major accidents in 10 years without a single scratch on any of the people involved in the accident. I have been amazed by the safety of this car and I will definitely be buying another one.

This car is amazing. It makes driving enjoyable. The handling is smooth and easy. The ride is quiet and comfortable. The extra features like synch and heated outside mirrors are very handy. This car shows that Ford is committed to improving their quality and public perception. I am getting better fuel economy than the epa ratings say you will. On the highway I am getting 32 mpg and overall its around 26 mpg. Adequate horsepower and torque for a family sedan along with style that I consider to be second to none in its class made this a no brainer for me. Very highly rated by consumer reporting agencies for excellent quality and reliability. Love my Fusion! Everyone compliments me on my ride.

Just purchased new Fusion V6 SEL. The car is great. This car is a lot better than Camry/Accord and Mazda3 for the price and performance. Hope this one will last as long as the Camry I had. Need to drive this vehicle for a while to judge the reliability.

Recently purchased a used Ford Fusion SEL. my first impression is that the quality of the ride is good. Heated seats are nice and duel control air works well. I'm sure as we put a few miles on it and situations change I'll have more to say about the car. But, for now it's a nice ride for the money.

When I saw this car come out in 2006, it stole my heart! Traded in my 2007 ford focus for a 2008 fusion. The first three years of having the car was great. By the fourth year things started going on the car. The leather was ripping and noticed harsh shiffting. Come to find out there is a problem with the valve body which is inside the transmission. Then my ac went in the car. Had to replace the air temperature sensor, evaporator core, and heater core. In Florida you can't be without ac. Total cost was $1600.00. Now looking for a diffferent car and it won't be a ford. Thats why they nicknamed Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily)!
