Used 2005 Volvo XC90 Consumer Reviews
My Opinion
Previously drove A4 and 9-5 but w/3 kids we needed something more practical. The SUV has traditional good looks that didn't go out of style 3 yrs later. The seats are still very comfortable. The third row seat has not been an issue and won't be unless you have a large teen or an adult in back. Even that is OK for a short ride. However not all is good with this SUV. The AC is nothing short of terrible. The Pirelli tires that came standard didn't make it to 25K. The plastic housing on the driver side craked. The tie rod broke at 42K The CD player no longer works. Lease is up and will look at GL450 X5 MDX.
great ride
This SUV rides like a car. It handles corners like no other SUV I have owned. This winter it had plenty of opportunity to show me excellent handling in bad weather. Fun features inside (like the windshield wipers that detect moisture) only add pleasure to a great driving experience. Still waiting on reliability as this vehicle ony has 4000 miles so far....

so so volvo
Well with now 35000 miles on my XC90 numerous things have been addressed. New rear wheel bearings, Complete front brake job @25000 miles. Rattles coming from places that myself or the dealer cant find....still over all with the things that did go wrong(they were replaced under warranty) its been a good vehicle.
My 2004 Volvo XC 90 Experience...So Far
So Far its been a great car. Drive and handling are amazing. It is truly the safest SUV on the planet. All crash and rool tests agree on that. Equally at home in the snow or in Beverly Hills.
I love it
the only complaint I have about my xc90 is the key! It continually comes off my key chain and the mfgr fix didn't fix it! Otherwise I'm a convert. I owned five bmws before the xc90 and theres just no comparison when you match price drivability and quality. the gas milage is excellent too. I have a 2004 now but i'm ready to trade for the 8 cylinder version. I have 51,000 miles on mine so you know I live in my car.
