2020 Ford Explorer
Boy cars have come a long way since my last new car in 2014. The new explorer is fast with the turbo 4 engine. It sound a bit out of place in such a big car but switching to sport mode make it sound better. I didn’t like the new front end of this new car at first, but it is look that grew on me, overall the whole car looks better than the previous generation. All the safety features are … nice and the seats are very comfortable. The steering feels soft and small, it is direct, precise but like all the new cars it feels artificial unlike older cars. The headlights are very bright and self ajustable. Third row only seats 2 unlike some of the competition. The interior materials look like they will get scratched easy like for example the plastic in my 2014 mustang. Overall I think it is a heck of a car, but don’t pay crazy money for it since it will end up depreciating like an American car... not as bad as a cedan though. buttons are nice and don’t feel cheap. It is agile but definitively not a light weight car, you can feel the weight while breaking. The transmission sometimes stays on a taller gear so you have to gas it more to get moving, this is designed to save gas, but if you drive slow like me, the car will make you drive slower for fuel economy sake; this is an issue easily dealt with the sport mode! conclusion: Im sold on it but not for premium money. This will be a great car one all the early bugs from first models get sorted out.
