Love this truck!, Quality built, rides like a truck (which is why i bought it) and when you spend the money these trucks cost, its nice to have the great styling these Tacoma's are known for. Proud to own a Taco!!

BAD TACOMA

I was not very happy with my new 2019 4cyl. tacoma, It ran like there was a Governor controlling the engine , as it felt like the engine was missing, starving for fuel , vaccumn leak or something that was causing my new Tacoma to run very poorly with only 2000 miles and 3 visits to the dealer , with a prognosis that - No CODES - NO PROBLEMS. I wasted a lot of time with Arbitration with NCDS and TOYOTA , and was very frustrated with the truck let alone the process. All wanted was my truck to run smooth as it should. Toyota Rep. testified that my Truck was performing as designed ! I ask for an INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN TO TEST DRIVE and report, but I was denied. I have bought a lot of new Vehicles and never had a vehicle to run like my 4 cyl. Conclusion- Never Buy a 4cyl. Tacoma, they do not run smooth. I was so frustrated that to get the monkey off my back , I got rid of mine with only 3200 miles and lost a lot of money.

It is a truck not a race car.

My 2019 SR5 Access cab 2 wheel drive V6 is quiet on the road, smooth riding, and does all I expect from a truck and then some. I average 22.9 MPG and have no squeaks, rattles, whines or clunks. I have always owned Ford Rangers in the past and this Tacoma puts them all to shame. Not sure why all those complaint about power, mine will jump from 55 to 100 in short time when 2 lane passing. Still performing well, only problem was the fuel pump recall, otherwise all is well. I prefer my truck for driving and rarely drive my Honda CRV.

Traded in my old dependable 99 Ranger for this Tacoma with it's tried and true 2.7 4cyl. MPG is great (20 local, 28 highway), 6 foot bed is very useful and tough for work and I can put it in 4WD for some weekend fun in the dirt. I've got the best of 3 worlds, commuter, hauler, and TOYota!

I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma SR SX package (blackout). I did my research prior to purchase and noticed that most of the complaints had to do with lag and shift point confusion. As a result, I knew that I was going to have to get a vehicle tune. The tune I chose was KDmax. My 2019 Tacoma now feels like my 2007 Tacoma but on roids...love it.
