2004 XLE Limited in Canada

Only serious complaint - I wish the GPS navigation system was available in Canada. This is almost a must have feature in a high end vehicle. Laser cruise control is awesome, makes cruise control practical even off the highway. Sound system is fantastic, wish the DVD player had a larger screen, but this is nit-picking. I don't know why people complain about the unusual stick shift placement, I would rather see it where they placed it than tripping over it on the floor.

I took a big mental leap and went from a volvo wagon to the 2004 Toyota Sienna this past July. "Life-changing" might be too subtle a word. Now the (3) kids have tons of room, can watch movies on long rides (I got the dealer to throw in an extra pair of wireless headphones -- who buying a minivan really only needs two pair anyway???) and I'm getting over that "I'm driving a mack truck feeling" and my husband has stopped waving me into the driveway like I'm parking a plane on the tarmac. All in all, I've been totally happy with my purchase.

First Year models

Had trouble with the gas tank recall. First replacement tank leaked and left my wife stranded, two weeks now and no new part insight. According to other Edmund discussion groups, this has happened before to recall customers in other parts of the country. Is it a replacement part or shoddy workmanship at the dealer, I am not sure. A second first year problem are the run flat tires. After 3,000 miles, the tire gets a nail in it. Toyota informs me that the tire must be replaced and not repaired, list price $200. I had to wait five days for a new tire. According to Dunlop, these tires can be replaced, so much for misinformation.

Best Minivan Ever

I have love this van. It has the best ride I have ever experienced. I had a 96 Chevy Lumina minivan before I got my Sienna and its was the greatest van for its "time", but it was old and didnt match up to all the options and features that were available on todays minivans. I liked the Oddyssey at first, but when I saw the Sienna, the Oddyssey didnt even compare to it. It VERY comfortable and the features availble make it even better.
