Used 2003 Toyota Corolla Consumer Reviews
BEST IN CLASS
I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN FEBRUARY. I IMMEDIATELY STARTED ACCESSORIZING IT. TOYOTA JUST CAME OUT WITH 18" WHEELS AND TIRES FOR THE COROLLA. THIS CAR IS SHARP. I TURN HEADS EVERYWHERE I GO. EVERYONE THINKS I AM DRIVING A LEXUS. I BOUGHT IT AS A FAMILY CAR. I HAVE ALWAYS OWNED 2 DOOR SPORTS CARS, SO I WAS RELUCTANT TO GET A 4 DOOR. NOW, I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. THIS VEHICLE IS A THRILL TO DRIVE. I LOVE THE REDESIGN. GOOD JOB TOYOTA.
let me down
Mileage went from ok to poor in only 5-6000 miles. Corolla started at 34mpg first tank to 27-28mpg after 5-6k miles. I have always gotten better milage than stated except for these cars. The sheet-metal on the car is too thin. It dents when you wash it. The trunk's side-walls are not 2-ply. I had a cardbord box dent out the side when driving around a corner. The padding on the seats is sub-standard. When getting in you feel the tube steel in the side bolsters. I am less than 200lbs. Toyota= D-!
Impressive
My wife wanted the car and in $14k range (after bargaining them down) who was going to argue, especially after owning Accura and Accords before? Am Totally Impressed.
Good Commuter Car
I'm not a Toyota person at all but family members of mine own it & i drive it all the time. It gets excellent gas mileage and is very reliable. The ride is smooth and fun, it would make a good car to learn to drive in. The design is bland (as are all toyotas) but the interior quality is top-notch and after 6 years its in amazing shape inside and out. The inside is also roomy and comfortable but there aren't many cup holders. But overall, I think it;s a great car for the money and would recommend it for someone who just needs a cheap, reliable car to get from point A to B.
Great Small Car
I recently purchased a 2003 Corolla CE, and so far I love this car. It feels solid, the ride is excellent and gas mileage is superb. The interior ergonomics are second to none. The controls are easy to reach and laid out well. The high seating position gives the driver a good field of vision. The engine is peppy and has enough power for the average driver. The exterior design is not cutting edge but it is modern. The car handles well except in high winds. But if you have driven an SUV the wind issue won't be a big deal. the ride is smooth and quiet. I would recommend the 2003 Corolla to anyone that wants a high quality inexpensive compact car.
