Nice car. What I would expect from a car for $15K. Sports package (name only), not really sporty except for looks. Engine options and handing options would be nice for this S package. Fun to drive. Engine even has a little kick to it.

Best car for money

This car reigns. It's really like a mini-Lexus. The doors shut with a muffled thud, the leather seats are comfortable, and the dash is assembled with airtight spacing between panels. I didn't like the S model side panels and rear spoiler. But the LE looks like a mini-Camry and drives like a mini-Lexus. Road/wind noise is really really low for a car in this class. Great ride. Most of my friends can't believe this is a Corolla. And they can't believe I got all features, ABS, leather, power moonroof, cruise control, power everything for $16K + tax.

Corolla S 1.8L 5-spd.

I've had this car for 4 months, and have no major complaints. Its got a very smooth ride, but could use some more oomph when accelerating from 20 mph on a highway entrance ramp to go to 60 mph. I've consistantly been getting 40-44 mph. I do miss my '91 Mazda 626 2.2L 5-speed, especially its acceleration. I do realize I'm dropping down a bit in engine size. All-in all I'm very satisied with my new Toyota!

I love my new Corolla LE. The car drives wonderfully – smooth, solid and reasonably quiet. The styling is great – looks like a baby Lexus. It is so roomy inside. The mileage is incredible; I have calculated that I have gotten over 35 mpg in mixed driving. I had been car shopping for well over a year, test driven all sorts of cars, seriously considered “treating myself” to a much higher priced car. I did my homework and I am so happy that I went with the Corolla LE – a GREAT car for the money (or more). I would much rather have my money in the bank – and the Corolla will help keep it there!

Compared to sentra and civic,The Corolla wins hands down.Bigger more powerful engine,Roomier,Larger stance and tires.Timing chain opposed to civics belt is why I purchased it.A freind has a sentra he popped his hood We compared engines My corolla engine was simple to look at.His sentra was a mess of hoses and wires. We couldnt even find the oil filter!
