Small things matter!!!
This car runs well, but there are a few things I hate about it and would be a deal killer if I had it to do over again. First off, the heat sux!!! (yes thermostat has been changed, and core flushed, etc etc). The heater is simply inadequately sized and this is VERY IMPORTANT if you live in a cold climate! Basically if temperature is below the 30s, it takes a good hour to be warm enough, and then I'm at my destination. Anything in the 20s or lower and the heat is not even close to adequate- and foot area never gets enough heat. Ironically, my car has the "heavy duty" heater. I'd hate to see standard heater. Secondly the car is LOUD, and I mean L-O-U-D! It picks up more road noise than any car I've ever been in and I've been driving for 30 years. I don't think this car has any sound deadening material at all, if anything it has sound amplifying equipment. Third the car doesn't have the sun band at top of the windshield. This is the dark blue stripe that should run across the top of the windshield. If you drive into the sun, this really stinks. I can't drive with the sun visor down all the time because then I can't see traffic signals. On the plus side the gas mileage is good and I think the car will be reliable. Had I realized how bad road noise and shitty heater is, NO WAY would I have bought this car!

#1 hands down
bought this car last year. had 64,000 mi on it. now has 72- not one issue yet, and im 28 w/ 5 speeding tickets.. so its needles to say that i run these things too the ground.. very impressed!!
Nicest Car in his class
I bought my car just a week ago. This car is perfect. Roamy interior, perfect design, smooth drive....I think, other cars, such as Honda Civic, Nissan Sentra, etc.,They wont sell any cars anymore, because the new COROLLA is gonna be hit the road.....
Nice Car!!
I have 186,000 miles on my Corolla and the only thing that has gone wrong is the headlight bulbs burned out at about 100,000 miles. That was a $10 dollar fix I did myself. I give it regular maintenance and it runs like a champ. Great gas mileage and EXTREMELY reliable. Again, 186,000 trouble free miles!!! That is no joke.
Excellent
Pros: If you are looking for a 1st New Car to buy or lease, I recommend the Corolla. The MPG can't be beat both on Highway and city. It has excellent carrying capacity which is surprising for a car this size. For a 4 cyl it is fast and lightweight which all contribute to fuel economy. Cons: Some people like the low-rider look with low fenders which the sport model features. Downside is it easily scratched on concrete parking blocks or dips especially exitting elevated parking.
