This is a one of a kind machines. It works wonders off road but is still very comfortable on the pavement.

Great Vehicle

I tow a boat so I feel more comfortable with a body on frame setup. I fell in love with the 4 runner after the first drive. It is comfortable and has a great quiet ride. I got 21 mpg in mixed driving which I was pleasantly surprised. I traded in a 2002 Tahoe which was a great vehicle and I use to get 16.5 mpg under the same driving conditions. My only complaints are that you can't get some options on the SR5. I don't like leather seats, there cold in the winter and hot in the summer, but most of all in my opinion they are not nearly as comfortable as cloth. So I don't want to pay for something I don't like. I don't know why car companies don't offer their upper end models without leather!

Great Package

2010 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 5A)

Looked at the MDX, RX350, FX35, Q5, Pathfinder and the 4Runner was the best all-around package. Initial target was another Lexus crossover but stumbled upon this body on frame SUV that drives just as smooth on new roads (no exaggeration) but you remember that you are in a real SUV on bumpy areas (though very impressed that it doesn't bounce like the SR5 — Limited comes with XREAS). For the price and options this was hands down the winner and also the coolest vehicle in the group. The 4Runner is not perfect but hits a sweet spot.

I have had my 4 Runner for 1 month and I must say that Toyota has not impressed me so far. I have a growling noise under the hood and it is really a pain for a SUV with only 2400 miles on it. I also have to agree with other reviews that the sheet metal seems very light. It feels like a $ 6000.00 car (not $36000.00) when you shut the doors, very cheap feeling. I have really outdone the Gas mileage around town averaging 19 plus miles but the Highway mileage is at best 21-23. The services guys say that the computer is learning my driving habits and it takes a while to really get the good mileage(sounds like BS to me). Also I traded in a 2005 Pathfinder and so far the Service at Toyota STINKS.

My 2nd 4 Runner

Traded my '04 for the 2010 in December. I live in the country with lots of blowing drifting snow so I knew it would be another 4 Runner for me. Love the styling and going with the full leather package was a wonderful upgrade for me. I have found nothing lacking in comfort and styling in this model. I was very disappointed that running boards were not standard as they were in previous 4 Runners, had to have my dealer retrofit them as I was having difficulty getting in and it was expensive. Also all weather floor mats should have been available! Preferred the tailgate assist too. Don't think it has as much pick up as my 04 until you hit the passing gear!! Overall satisfied with purchase!
