Used 2010 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
4 Runner Loves the Colorado Mountains
I love that it is wider for more interior room. I have two kids car seats in the back & another person can easily fit between them. Really wanted the 3rd row. The ground clearance is nice for us who like to actually off road a bit. The NAVI & blue tooth work perfect with my iPhone. It took 30 seconds to get the phone connected to the system. Stereo sounds great. Seat warmers have come in handy too. I drove through 1' of untouched snow w/out ever thinking of locking down the 4W high. Driving up I-70 out of Denver was a dream with all power and the breaks have serious stopping power. I do have the Limited w/22" wheels so maybe the brakes are larger?
2nd 4Runner
I sold my '96 4Runner for a '05 Sequoia and returning to the 4Runner. My gas mileage is averaging 4mpg higher than my Sequoia with comparable power. The vehicle is spacious without feeling enormous. The fit and finish inside and out is great. I wasn't crazy about the cartoonish dash and dials but they are growing on me.

You’ve got to be kidding me!
The 2010 Toyota 4 runner we went to see at Great Lakes Honda advertised as ~ 44,000 original miles. The exhaust manifold had multiple loud problems, there were grinding noises during acceleration and turning, as well as slow acceleration. Is Original Miles code word for new engine?! Not impressed with the dealership nor the vehicle. There’s no way a truck with 44k miles would have that many issues with personal use driving and only one owner.
New vs Old
The 2010 is my second 4-Runner Ltd. I just gave my 2005 with 180,000 miles on it to to a brother. The 2005 is still solid and runs like new. The best auto I've ever owned. I have 4,000 miles on the new one.I am pleased with it overall, but the new engine appears to have little more power than the 2005.Quality of mfg materials is inferior to the 2005. They have improved it in many other areas though such as panel layout.
Love This Tuck
I just bought my 4Runner SR5 4x4 6cyl on Saturday at DCH Brunswick Toyota in N. Brunswick NJ. The dealership was great and gave us a good deal. I absolutely love the truck, it's such a smooth ride for an SUV. I've had a 2003 and 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and this truck is 10x better. I will be back in another 3 years for another!
