Best vehicle I ever owned
In my lifetime I've owned over 13 vehicles (from Mercury, Ford, GM to VW, Honda, and Subaru), and this is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. We just hit the 8k mile mark and I enjoy being behind the wheel at all times. Highway driving is fun and off- roading/driving in snow is awesome as well. There's plenty of space for the family (two kids) and ample cargo space for vacations.
Basics Of 4Runner 2010
After reading so many reviews (good and bad) let me get you some core basics of this vehicle. It is comfy, power is good, good mpg for the size, and good reliability. If you are looking for a city slicker show off car than better go with a X5. But this is for real heavy duty off roading without the sacrifice of the comfort of city/highway driving. It the best of both worlds.

So far, so good!
Traded in our '08 Highlander Limited, needed something over 6001 lbs for business tax advantage, very impressed with new model, drives very similar to the HL, but definitely a truck vs HL's car-like drive. We actually prefer to be up a little higher, but it does lumber around like a truck, no worries for us tho. Just as roomy, third row seems smallish, but ends up almost exactly same size and functionality as the HL's. 2nd row has plenty of room, fit and finish are excellent - thx Toyota! Gas mileage as expected - this is not a Corolla folks, don't get a heavy V6 truck and think you can coax 30 mpg out of it, considering what the 4Runner can do, 19-23 mpg is fantastic! no complaints
Nice ride
Have 5k trouble free miles. As high as 24 mpg on hwy. Tows a 14 ft enclosed trailer ok. Traded a Acura mdx for this so I could tow. Not as plush but 10 grand less. Also had a gx 470 but couldn't stomach the extra 16 grand. Overall it is a decent ride, not like the high ends but for the money it is good. Toyota did go a little cheap on this one. Metal is too thin, plastic scratches too easy, no memory seats. Its obvious they skimped.
4runner fan
I previously had a 2004 4Runner but wrecked it. Loved it! Went 109,000 miles with only normal maintenance. Never changed a light bulb! Have had the 2010 for about a month. It is very similar to the 2004 with a few minor changes. It is larger which I like. Miss a couple things about the old one compared to the new one.
