My 2nd Toyota!
I traded in a 2003 Nissa Xterra Super Charge for a couple reasons: a. I wanted something with better gas mileage. b. I wanted a sunroof, with the same power as my super charge, plus I like the rear window being able to go down. c. The '06 4runner's car insurance is cheaper. d. A full tank in the Xterra lasted me 4-5 days, a full tank in the 4runner last 14 days. wow eh?
Outstanding Buy
I bought a 4runner and I could not have made a better decision. It is fun to drive, with a rugged truckish looks and okay fuel econ. Interior looks great and handling is outstanding. I looked at most mid size SUVs in the market and must say 4runner was way better than most in terms of combined value.. For those looking for a mid size SUV, if you're not overly concerned about fuel econ, then 4runner is the one for you..

I converted from GM andNo buyers remorse
I was hesitant at first transitioning fr Chevy Tahoe into 4Runner. My Tahoe had problems and I was looking for a reliable SUV that handles well on and off-road, mountains, snow and ice, as well as has cargo room. I thought I was compromising getting a 4runner but Inow I feel I got a lot better value. SUV. It looks big but feels small and maneuverable. Great handling. It accelerates and handles like a sedan. Transmission intuitively responds as if interpeting your intentions by how you apply gas or brakes. i don't know how they accomplished it. Bumpers are high enought to allow excellent approach and descent angle. Quality material is used on the inside trim none of that cheap plastic.
Quality SUV-But Has Quirks
Have owned this vehicle for 18 mos. and overall have really enjoyed it. Have previously owned 3 Explorers, 2 Bronchos, & 1 Cherokee & this beats them all hands down. The sound of simply shutting a door tells you it's built better than the American SUVs. Gas milage is better, the ride is smoother & you just feel safer riding in it. The only drawbacks are quirky things such as; Non-lighted & oddly placed door switches, beverage holders that don't seem to fit anything, only (1)12V power outlet that goes dead when ignition is turned off, so you can't charge anything overnight, Zero foot or storage room under seats, remote that lowers back window but doesn't raise it back up??
Awesome
You will not find a better SUV on the market. Everthing is excellent about the 4Runner. A smooth quiet ride. Good acceleration and for an SUV, the gas mileage is not that bad.
