Rugged good looks inside and out...

I researched the 4Runner and found it reliable, also good looking (even the older ones). Went to Roseville to find one with the 3rd row seating and we spotted one, a white SR5 4WD, 3rd row, sideairbags, spoiler, tow package and some 17" wheels. Was going to get a 2005 but I'm glad I got a 2006. I love the projector headlights, chrome handles and grill. The inside is rugged and basic, keeping it simple. The cloth seats are supportive; no major blind spots. It looks big on the outside, but once you start driving it's like a car. On a few bumps it will remind you that you're in a 'truck'. Smooth, power.

Never have been a material person, but I love this car! I was looking at crossovers and wagons for MPG, and handling, but forgot it all when I test drove this Toyota. The MPG is typical though. But the handling is smooth and if you like bigger cars, as fun as any sports car you can get. I took it off road for fun, and as inexperienced as I am, I thought I pushed it too far at one point, but... put in the low gear, and I was out of a muddy, five-feet-deep river bed. Also, for everyday, the cargo shelf in the back is great when you want to hide some things and still be able to load via the window.

Love my 06 Sport

I traded my 01 Limited on an 06 Sport with the 4.0 liter. What a difference! I'm missing the leather a bit, but the tradeoff in power and comfort is well worth the difference. I pull a 15ft enclosed trailer with two atv's in it with no problem. I was worried I should have gotten the V8, but I'm very happy I went with the 6 cylinder. Gas mileage in mixed driving has been around 20-21mpg. Insurance was dirt cheap. My 06 was actually cheaper to insure than my 01! This is an excellent SUV!

First SUV owned, got it because starting a family and to be able to make trips to the snow without worry. Great truck, love everything about it, A/C design needs some work but you get used to it. Too bad MPG cant be a tad better, but it is a SUV after all. Surprising good ride and strikes the perfect balance of truck, smoothness and sportiness.

Bought with 73k.great vehicle to haul the kids around.I chose the V8 due to its power. The gas mileage with a V6 was just 2mpg less.Go with the V8.Drove from Las Vegas to San Francisco, what an awesome ride.Eats up potholes.I liked the 4runner so much, I bought my wife a 2007 4runner sport.
