Overview
The 2024 Rolls-Royce Ghost is the most affordable starting point for buyers looking to step into the Rolls-Royce brand. Affordability is, of course, relative but the Ghost does undercut the Cullinan SUV, Phantom and the new Spectre EV. But you shouldn't think any less of the Ghost. A big sedan with reverse-opening rear doors, the Ghost offers every bit of Rolls' legendary attention to detail. It's also seemingly infinitely customizable and even comes in an extended-wheelbase version or a sport version known as Black Label.
Edmunds spotlight: Personal luxury
When you're paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for a car, it's understandable that you'd like it to be special. As well built as most luxury cars might be, most lack true customization. As you'd expect, Rolls-Royce lets you customize pretty much every aspect of your Ghost so no two are likely to be the same. From the trademark grille to the paint options (two-tone, please); the endless possibilities of interior color combinations (stitching, piping, even embossed logos); the custom inlays made from your choice of material; and even the headliner that can be tailored to match the night sky — there is pretty much no end to the possibilities.
Competitors to consider
Crosstown rival Bentley offers the closest thing to the opulence you'll find in a Rolls-Royce. Bentleys have long been the more driver-focused of the two brands, so if you enjoy piloting your fabulous statement of wealth, the Bentley Flying Spur is the closest competitor to the Ghost. Should you not see the point in spending quite so much on a road-going vehicle (you might be saving up for a private jet), the BMW i7 and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class offer credible luxury accommodations for a fraction of the price. Of course if bigger is better, Rolls-Royce offers the Phantom for the ultimate in luxury motoring.
